Drew Brees has shown he is not hiding under a rock as he continues to make dumb comments and lose the respect of many fans of other NFL teams which he once had. His Eugene Upshaw comment could go down as his dumbest.

If the players win their lawsuit and it results in the End Of Football As We Know It, will that affect Brady’s and Manning’s chances of getting into the Hall of Fame? Why would you put somebody in the Hall of Fame who destroyed the league that made them famous?

It’s ridiculous to ask any player to take part in negotiations or be a part of any settlement talks. These guys pay agents and managers to handle these things because it is not a players specialty to do so. Players are professional athletes, not labor law experts. In my opinion they really have no place attempting to negotiate with the top lawyers in the country to get a deal for themselves. In fact I feel they would be doing a disservice to the players, including themselves, by doing so. I think they are smart enough to know that they need to confide in there representatives to handle negotiations at this level and that anything they say to the media will likely hurt, more than help, their case and image as a player and a named plaintiff to this case. Sorry PFT, i love the site but I am on the other side of the fence on this one.
