Attention Titans fans: Do not show up to watch practice Wednesday

Adam Vinatieri, Cortland Finnegan AP

MDS noted early this morning that Titans playerw were taking the cool step of allowing the public (and media) to watch their first full team practice sessions this week.

The only problem: No one cleared he plan with Father Ryan High School, where the sessions will take place.  Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan apologized for the confusion via Twitter Tuesday.

“If you planned to come tomorrow be mad at me but I didn’t get it approved I was excited about seeing fans and didn’t go through proper chain,” Finnegan wrote. “Be mad at me not at father Ryan.. Come to Jeff fisher softball game June 18.”

Well, Finnegan’s heart was in the right place.  It’s understandable that a local high school wouldn’t be able to handle large crowds that might have shown up.

Finnegan, now entering his sixth season, has taken more of a leadership role this offseason for the Titans. He just needs to think more before tweeting.

That seems to be a popular lesson learned lately.

So is Michael Silver gonna write an article now about how Father Ryan is a moron and wimp, and call this a punk move?

Kind of like how you need to edit before hitting submit.

Titans open player-organized workout to the public

APThe Tennessee Titans are giving their player-organized workouts this week a training camp feel, letting fans in to watch on Wednesday

If I said it once I’ve said it a million times, wait and confirmed from all sources before posting. Next post will be Father Ryan changed his mind and practice is now open….calling players out on twitter for posting too fast, is the pot calling the kettle black.

Unfortunately Father Ryan was dragged from his office by unruly fans before they got the message. He is taped to the goalposts at the south end of the field.

What do you know. Cortland Burnedagain blowing an assignment.

I think Silver was angry about the fact the Carolina players had hired police to keep people at bay. It was kind of a goonish thing to do.

This is a simple misunderstanding and a bad venue to try and do these workouts. Not a big deal really.

Just wait until Andre Johnson catches wind of Cortland’s slip up….

I mean, seriously, how hard is it to read over your work before you submit it? This is atrocious!

He just needs to think more before tweeting.

And like chapnastier stated, you need to edit before submitting. It would be nice if you’d learned a few lessons… like how to revise and edit your work. This is awful, Rosenthal, even for you!

Once again, Rosenthal didn’t proofread before posting. C’mon, man, bush league!

As a Father Ryan grad I’m happy that the Titans are using their facilities (which are very nice), but the potential for problems related to an open practice are clear.

As for those who might want to sneak in there, this memo went out to FRHS employees this afternoon:

    —–
With the closed Titans practice on-site tomorrow and Thursday and heightened security, please be advised to have your Father Ryan ID with you to come and go from campus. If you do not have your ID, please stop by the Main Office before 3:30 p.m. today to get a pass for your vehicle tomorrow or anytime tomorrow for Thursday.
