So many Raider and Cowboy fans are talking about how Crabtree is the next T.O. If the 49ers get to the playoffs with Crabtree as much as they did with T.O. that is fine by me. T.O. didn’t wreck the 49ers, the Cowboys, or even the Eagles. Even if you think he did, all those teams got to the playoffs, and the Eagles got to a Super Bowl, so that would be fine by me.

Who knew that Michael Crabtree possessed such expertise evaluating QB talent? Maybe he should skip his playing career and go right into coaching. Surely NFL teams would line up to offer “Crabs” top dollar for the use of his brain. And he wouldn’t have to disappear from games anymore.

He shouldn’t be unconvinced that Alex Smith will start, but everyone including Crabtree should be convinced that Alex got too many chances and lacks mental toughness to seal the deal!!!

The Eagles got rid of Donovan and the offense was much more consistent and electrifying to watch!!!

The Raiders dumped JaWalrus, the Bills cut Trent Edwards, and the Vikes benched T-Jack. After all these moves the passing games of these teams were much better!!!

If Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree showed dissatisfaction when they’re better football players than Alex; and when Mike Nolan regrets benching Shaun Hill when he played better and was more palatable for the players than Alex, then he’s got to go!!!

Whoa what friggin planet are you from? First off Vernon Davis has always been 100% supportive of Alex Smith. He expressed extreme displeasure for Crabtree’s attitude and lazy approach. Second Shaun Hill was benched by Singletary. Nolan had already long been fired. So stop talking out of your rear. This isn’t a QB problem it’s a diva problem. Like it has already been said plenty of WR’s have produced better with even less QB talent at the helm

Less talented receivers have produced far more with even worse quarterbacks. This is a problem of work ethic and passion for the game. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I guarantee T.O. yes I said it…. would outproduce Crabtree on this team. Regardless of “current” vs “future” starting quarterbacks, Crabtree has been a problem since day one. Trade this assclown and get someone in there with some good character.

Crabs knows Alex is the starter FOR NOW,but he also knows Alex’s past failures and doesn’t believe Alex is starter material. And most experts agree with Crabs.
In other words Crabs is just hoping it’s not going to be Alex AGAIN ! Crabs is tired of all those throws over his head and behind him and not on time. He is also tired of being blamed for Alex’s poor throws causing interceptions on deflections,just because Crabs is so talented he actually makes a great play just to get his hands on the horrible throws,so people say he dropped it,lol.
Crabs know he is not going to make any of the incentives in his contract with Alex at QB,so he is like most 49ers fans,he is hoping this is just a bad dream that alex is once again being handed the job without any competition !!!

niners fan here. crabtree has been in the bay area for two months yet he hasn’t worked out with his team mates until two days ago. something isn’t right with this guy.

look at the tape last year and you’ll know why his production was down. he doesn’t try..

Crabtree, if you participated in these practices and developed a better rapport with Smith then maybe your QB might have a greater chance of succeeding……. But what do I know– it’s not like you’re a 1st round pick who’s supposed to be an impact player or an integral part of the offense.

Michael Crabtree! Rarely has so much been written and said about So Little!

Alex Smith may not be Peyton Manning or Tom brady. But he is not a junkpile either. He has suffered from a very dysfunctional system from top to bottom. Harbaug will get it done IMO. And if he believes in this guy and coach him up, he can make him a winner.

And Harbaug can sweep out some of the dysfunction by dumping the 9ers “Crabs”.

Many people here(not all) are commenting from what they’ve have heard through the media. C’mon people, wake up. Crabtree is not a diva.

Let’s get this straight. I am not being biased, as I am not much of a Crabtree fan. But, he was not a diva in college and he has not been a cancer to this team. The man is telling it like it is. Alex Smith is not signed to be a 49er, the coaching staff in the past two years has flip flopped on QB’s like Leonardo Dicaprio with super models. He is not trying to stir up issues, the media is. Crabtree is guilty only of falling into the trap. He is young, immature and will come around. Lets see what happens this years. Haters gonna hate.

Let me get this straight…you have a guy teaching the offense and bringing together a team to workout during a period when we are not even sure there will be a season AND you have a DIVA trying to mess it up to get the press instead of perhaps helping his team by learning the offense and participating? I wouldn’t make a verbal commitment to a guy who wasn’t under contract with my team either. The Smith/Niners situation has been so blatantly obvious that it wouldn’t make sense for Crabtree to commit verbally, on the record, to Smith being the Niners QB. It could be held against him or the Niners in the future. However, the way he goes about saying it does make him sound kinda punkish.

No doubt C.K. is gonna be a stud at qb regardless of what happens next season with smith Colin is waiting in the wings which isn’t all bad considering he could use a little more muscle, but athletic as Newton, rifle for and arm, with way better deep ball accuracy than all the 1rd qbs
