You have to wonder how different life would have been for this kid if RichRod had stayed at WVU and he had come there like he originally planned. In a smaller market I think it might have been different for this kid. It is a waste.

After checking with three different scouts, Pryor entering the Supplemental Draft would be a bad idea. Here are the critics’ takes:

Rob Rang: 2nd or 3rd Rd pick without underclassmen.
Wes Bunting: late round developmental pick that isn’t great at processing information quickly.
Dave Razzano: Pryor needs to mature and wouldn’t be touched by Razzano with a 10-foot pole.

He definitely sole memorabilia, and was under investigation for receiving improper benefits. Footage recently surfaced of Pryor driving an expensive sports car.

Had Pryor declared for the 2011 NFL Draft he would have projected as a 4th – 6th rounder. He may have gone in the 3rd to a team that figured if he fails at QB they can always try him at WR or TE.

Are you telling me that you think Cam Newton is that much superior to Pryor? I don’t think so from what I saw out of them. If Cam can go #1 surely someone takes Pryor.

But to tell you the truth, I never saw the growth out of this guy that you’d expect. He still has all those tools though. Problem is, it’s attached to that head.

I kinda wonder if he wouldn’t be a guy the Pack wouldn’t waste a 3rd or 4th in a supplemental on him (if they have it). He wouldn’t cost much, Flynn is leaving after the season and Harrell… I dunno, kind of a weak arm.

Guy like Rodgers might show a kid like this what it’s like to be a pro. McCarthy did wonder with Aaron Brooks. Then in a couple years we could trade Pryor for a high pick if we can turn him around.

Pryor was a very good college QB. Like so many of the good collegiate QBs, he doesn’t have the skill set to play QB in the NFL. So for everyposter that says “go play in Canada”, that’s likely where he was headed anyway. And if he does he’ll likely be a superstar there.
