I would take Pryor before Newton, any day. Terrelle had about the same passing stats last season, and it was his third year as a D1 starter. He was bigger than Newton coming out of high school, (before Newt went heavy on the PEDs), faster, and had a much higher GPA, which would probably indicate he is smarter. Plus he never did anything on the lowlife scum level of stealing another kid's computer with all his course work on it. A dorm mate, no less, who wasn't there on a full ride scholarship.

You self-righteous pukes are hilarious! Even if all the accusations made against him are true, how on earth does this behavior compare in anyway to Maurice Clarett? It doesn't. Pryor is already more successful than all of you and he will be wealthy beyond your dreams in a few months or a year. Is that what really bothers you?

I am a Wisconsin Badgers fan, so anything bad that happens at any other Big Ten school is fine by me. However, if you can't see the hypcrisy here, you're too dumb to watch football.

To the poster who wrote "... he sole memorobilia..." you are an ignorant wretch, who gives all sports fans a bad name.

You have to wonder how different life would have been for this kid if RichRod had stayed at WVU and he had come there like he originally planned. In a smaller market I think it might have been different for this kid. It is a waste.

My advice:
(1) Get a trainer that will keep you in great physical condition.
(2) Find a quality QB guru.
(3) Admit everything you did with any team that wants to talk to you.
(4) Be with people (including the trainer and QB guru) that will help you mature dramatically!!!

-----------------------------------------------------

In other words, grow up, be an adult, and accountable for being a F--- up!

Usually Supplemental Draft prospects have 1st Round value in an April draft. Teams aren't coughing up high round draft picks these days because of other teams' past futility with it.

After checking with three different scouts, Pryor entering the Supplemental Draft would be a bad idea. Here are the critics' takes:

Rob Rang: 2nd or 3rd Rd pick without underclassmen.
Wes Bunting: late round developmental pick that isn't great at processing information quickly.
Dave Razzano: Pryor needs to mature and wouldn't be touched by Razzano with a 10-foot pole.

Are you telling me that you think Cam Newton is that much superior to Pryor? I don’t think so from what I saw out of them. If Cam can go #1 surely someone takes Pryor.

Had Pryor declared for the 2011 NFL Draft he would have projected as a 4th - 6th rounder. He may have gone in the 3rd to a team that figured if he fails at QB they can always try him at WR or TE.

I remember when this guy was in HS and was the 5 star recruit. He had everything you look for in an elite QB at the age of what 18?

But to tell you the truth, I never saw the growth out of this guy that you'd expect. He still has all those tools though. Problem is, it's attached to that head.

I kinda wonder if he wouldn't be a guy the Pack wouldn't waste a 3rd or 4th in a supplemental on him (if they have it). He wouldn't cost much, Flynn is leaving after the season and Harrell... I dunno, kind of a weak arm.

Guy like Rodgers might show a kid like this what it's like to be a pro. McCarthy did wonder with Aaron Brooks. Then in a couple years we could trade Pryor for a high pick if we can turn him around.

Eh, just a thought.

Stop being ridiculous. Pryor had no chance of being allowed to play for Ohio State this year.

I would love to see Pryor play WR. Maybe he should go to an FCS-level school and play WR for a year. I think his value would go through the roof. He is 6'6 and a ridiculously good athlete; I just don't think he will be much of an NFl QB.

Gee, I guess we know what his word and Tressel's are worth now.

And oh the NCAA let him play in the Sugar Bowl instead of punishing him. Was that b/c it was the right thing to do, or so they could make money from the TV ratings?

I think all 3 -- Tressel, Pryor, and especially the NCAA -- are making themselves look like big turds.

At least Pryor lived up to the school mascot -- they are both useless nuts, haha.

schmitty2 says:
Cam Newton Part II

EXACTLY! Terrelle is about to carry his team to the National Championship, win the Heisman, and go #1 overall in the NFL Draft.

Sarcasm off.

Pryor was a very good college QB. Like so many of the good collegiate QBs, he doesn't have the skill set to play QB in the NFL. So for everyposter that says "go play in Canada", that's likely where he was headed anyway. And if he does he'll likely be a superstar there.
