Titans open player-organized workout to the public

The Tennessee Titans are giving their player-organized workouts this week a training camp feel, letting fans in to watch on Wednesday.

Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan wrote on Twitter Monday night that fans are welcome and encouraged to attend.

“It’s official we are gonna open up Wednesdays practice to the public everyone tell everyone come out at 10:30 and bring the whole family,” Finnegan wrote.

At a time when the lockout has alienated NFL fans, and when some players have hired security to keep the public away from their workouts, Finnegan’s tweet is a nice message that the players want to connect with their fans.

Finnegan, one of the primary organizers of the workouts, expects almost every player on the team to attend.
