Jason Pierre-Paul talks about not hitting the rookie wall

Considered to be a project by many coming out of South Florida, it was no surprise that Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul’s career started out slowly in New York.

JPP appeared on PFT Live Wednesday and told Florio the game was coming at him very fast initially. By the end of the season, when most rookies start to trail off, Pierre-Paul started to figure things out.

“They say a lot of rookies hit a wall. Last year, I don’t think I hit a wall. Last year I felt good,” Pierre-Paul told Florio. “I’d say the whole d-line took me under their wing.”

Pierre-Paul exploded for back-to-back two sack games, making many in New York believe that he’s primed to break out this year.

For the rest of Pierre-Paul’s entire interview, including his thoughts on what it’s like to chase Michael Vick, head to the PFT Live homepage or download the show at iTunes.
