Not to mention the white qb’s who have done it…eric crouch, matt jones, the talk surrounding tebow last year.

The NFL should send a message to these self-entitles athletes, and not touch him. Let him deal with the problems HE is responsible for at Ohio State.
As a fan, do you really want a guy willing to burn his program to the ground run your team? Says a lot about his character…he causes raukus and just withdraws himself from the school

I’m confused. Pryor is leaps and bounds better than Jake Locker, another “running QB”.. He’s a heck of a lot more accurate than Jake Locker, but Locker is a top 10 pick and Pryor needs to change positions? How is Locker, a former wing-t QB in H.S. who could barely hit a barn if it was in front of him, get such a bump up?

I’ve always told people that if Jake Locker’s name was Jamaal Simmons, he had cornrows, and hailed from Compton, CA (and he’s black), he might not have been drafted. Athletic white QBs are first rounders, but athletic black QBs need to change positions. That is how it is in the NFL. It is so obvious, but everyone is afraid to admit it.

His mechanics are horrible. Yes, a good athlete, but the league full of those.

Easily 50 college QB’s w/better throwing ability, and smarter too.

I’m glad to see our sports media is so generic and small-mind that Greg Cosell’s quote could have easily applied to Cam Newton…Oh wait a minute it was…NEVERMIND.

Thank God for Cam Newton that our supposedly unbiased sports media only pushed a lot of unnecessary speculative fears about how well he would be as a QB and not try to raise the issue of him playing another position like they did with Tyrod Taylor and now it seems Pryor.

One is intentionally being punished by our sports media to help the image of a beloved coach and the other was intentionally maligned to hurt the image of a school. But your inability to see the difference isn’t new.

Having watched him play on tv I was more impressed with what he could do in the open field and at receiver than qb. With what Kiper has shared I’m starting to for a higher opinion of my opinion.

PFT will probably delete this, but there’s a GREAT scouting report on Pryor on National Football Post where even Pryor’s old teammates bash him, call him immature, and talks about how he has a “me first” mentality and sense of entitlement.

I would probably bid up to the 4th round for him. He clearly has the talent to be a good player in this league. If I’m the GM of a good team with an established QB that would be able to wait 3 years before playing him, I would say a 4th is a pretty good deal.

For anyone who thinks that CFL teams would be dying to sign Pryor, think again. Just as in the NFL, rookie CFL QBs have their struggles early. This is especially true up north, where rookie QBs have to get used to the wider field, unlimited motion, etc. There isn’t one team who would be willing to start him right away, even with the benefit of a full camp. (CFL camps started a week ago.)
