No, but probably 95% are so just playing the odds. The MSM may do some pretty stupid stuff trying to fill their 24 hour news cycle but rarely do they actually editorialize the news and that precise charge is levied at 100-1 to ratio by conservatives/tea party types. So my sincere apologies if you are one of the 5% living in the lefty world that has decided that the right wingers have a point about the MSM and blame them for everything.

I actually think the way to end this quickly is to threaten the players that if they do not come to a deal by Sunday, the league will substitute as its negotiating team Al Davis, Mike Brown, and Virginia McCaskey.

Funny you should say that when in the past a deal was struck, it was usually Al Davis that bought into it and brought the small market teams along with him…. but then again, who cares about history. As Sarah Palin or Rick Perry… history is overrated.

The devil is in the details. When someone lies, they often try to make the lie sound more credible by adding details. The details in this article don’t mesh with the facts. So either the reporter is wrong, or his source is wrong, or both.

If I publish an article with a headline that says “the world is ending” and in the body I say that a meteor the size of Texas is going to slam into Antarctica on June 18th, then on June 27th, a nuclear war wipes everyone out, was I right because my headline was simply “the world is ending”? No, the details don’t make sense, so the overall premise is based on nothing.

According to an the source, owners and players were close to an agreement today to end the lockout, which entered its 86th day today.

Like a true lawyer, you have tried to defrag the core of the facts by nit-picking details.

The core of what the writer is presenting is the two sides have come very close to an agreement.

All the rest of it is simply trying to nail a source who moved ahead of of this website with the story.

If someone fine-tooth-combed the reports here, you would find the same type of clickity-clack.
