When the owners and players finally get their heads out of their azzes…..the fans in every nfl city should boycott the first game of the season just to let the owners and players know who is really responsible for making them all rich.

Yeah, and we should then all hold our breath until they say they’re sorry like we did when we were 2 years old. That’ll teach ‘em!

That would be to penalize the teams that used a strategy of holding the status quo because of the situation, instead of making a change.

Credit for what exactly?? If they even care an once for the game or the fans the lockout wouldn’t have lasted this long. This is a stall tactic to make it look like something is being accomplished until the ruling comes down. The only thing they are worried is aboutthe bottom line. The NFL is getting pressured because the networks who going to lose advertising dollars. And the players are feeling the loss of support for their plight.

Here is what I give the owners and players credit for during the lockout:

1. Acting like spoiled brats, with their “feel sorry for me” attitudes.
2. Ignoring the people who actually made the game grow…the fans!!!!
3. The NFLPA for having two gigantic NIMRODS in their organization. Demaurice Smith- who is looking to make a run in politics and Kevin Mawae-who feels entitled to everything.
4. The owners and players for not wanting to invest someone of that money back into the communities that supported them by having tax payers flip the majority of the bill for their stadiums. One billion would go along way.

And lastly not taking care of the players who actually help build this sport.

For all the whining and complaining of fans…all the “lawyers are evil” talk…THIS IS WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN.

You cannot have a true democracy without recourse to the law. You cannot have recourse to the law without a large, cumbersome, often ugly legal system.

Just because they CAN do it, doesn’t mean they SHOULD do it. Idiot.

Worst line in this article. If that were the case it would never have gotten this far!!!! They aren’t putting the interest of the game and fans above short term strategies. They are missing their paychecks and the owners are losing money!!!

Now because they are talking and working together, we suddenly forget how much of a bunch of selfish people they were and start kissing their a$$???

The deal should have been done months ago, they deserve no credit until this deal is done.!!!

Bad idea. As long as training camp starts on time, that should be enough to get the job done. All they’ll be missing out on is the mini camps. Will teams with new coaches and new systems be at a disadvantage? Probably, but that’s life. All parties involved knew that some teams might be affected more than others by the lockout. That didn’t seem to put pressure on either side to speed up the process.

Would you prefer a politburo that just says what is and that’s that? How about a dictator that gets to decide?

Because if you really, really love America…than you SHOULD love what is happen. It’s democracy in action, warts and all.

Frankly, I think it’s been an entertaining summer so far!

He actually was speaking of the progress of the Clowns towards becoming a professional football team.

On a related note, watching NFL Network and seeing the deflated Mangini being quizzed on the rookie QB prospects made my gut quiver. Hearing him prophesy the future of NFL QBs ought to make any real football fan sick! (eg. – Quinn v. Anderson…where are they now?)

If and when D. Smith decides to make a deal, it will happen fast. Slow and steady progress is what we heard in February and March, before D. Smith walked out of the CBA negotiations, decertified the union, and had certain players file the lawsuit which started this legal mess.

D. Smith will make a deal only if the 8th circuit upholds the lockout. And that will be because the players will tell him to make a deal.

Hopefullly, by the end of next week, it will be more like 50%.

Giving Goddell a pass for most of what happened is inexcusable. He’s the face of the league.
