NFL Alumni gathered Monday in Franklin, Tennessee to honor former Titans offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger and benefit cancer research.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that Heimerdinger, who recently start a second round of chemotherapy, was optimistic about his outlook as he recovers from cancer. He is down to 170 pounds, but hopes to regain strength soon.

Heimerdinger’s cancer has not spread and he remains optimistic about his future, which is great news to hear. Wyatt writes that many ex-Titans and Jeff Fisher came out in support of Heimerdinger.
