They held a public “Jets West” camp last month in California. They’ve now completed what they’ve called “Camp Lockout” in New Jersey.

According to the Associated Press, quarterback Mark Sanchez and more than 40 other Jets have ended a three-day session at Fairleigh Dickinson University, which is located across the road from the team’s practice facility in Florham Park.

The camp included 7-on-7 sessions and film studies. The best news is that the practices included no injuries. Sanchez said that the players will have more workouts “in small pockets” until the lockout ends.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News has offered up additional details regarding the event, including whether Braylon Edwards was there (he wasn’t), whether Santonio Holmes was there (he was, for part of it). Mehta also has published a list of 37 players who were present.

Per Mehta, Sanchez said that the Jets opted to keep “Camp Lockout” quiet so that they could focus on the work. “We’ve seen the extreme in Hard Knocks,” Sanchez said. “This was our chance to relax and do it our way and keep it quiet. Have fun with the guys and make it just a team thing.”

Somewhere in California, Mike Silver is giving the finger to his monitor as he reads those words.
