In December 1994, multimillionaire businessman William Francis McLaughlin was shot and killed in his home. Beginning this week, a former NFL linebacker will stand trial on charges of pulling the trigger.
Per the Associated Press, Eric Naposki and Nanette Packard are accused of murder. Packard was McLaughlin’s former girlfriend, and she also was the beneficiary of a $1 million insurance policy on McLaughlin’s life. In 1996, Packard pleaded guilty to stealing more than $500,000 from McLaughlin before and after his death.
Naposki, who played for the Patriots in 1988 and 1989 and the Colts in 1989, was romantically involved with Packard. Naposki allegedly shot McLaughlin six times.
The pair will be tried separately. Naposki’s trial starts first.
It’s unclear why so much time has passed between the crime and the commencement of the trials.

He played for 3 teams in a two year career, I guess he “played in the NFL”. Non-story.
I blame the lockout for his actions.

Nope, that’s not what is says at all.
Well, I’m guessing that since he played for the Patriots the trial will be short because I’m sure they have videotape of the shooting.
ZING!!
He looks like Dr. Xavier from “X-Men” on steroids….
Well he needed the money seeing that Drew Brees doesn’t want to pay for retired players..
Boy…and I thought they may have finally tagged Ray-Ray, when I read this.
Reason for the trial delay was because he was dropped as a suspect shortly after the murder. He had an alibi and the police had no physical evidence. 15 years later they arrested him on charges of capital murder. He’s been sitting in an Orange County prison for the last year awaiting trial.

Here nyrules, I fixed it for you:
“Ray Lewis is a future hall of famer, and an excellent stabber, obsession 55, you are a nobody. Hop off please.”
Btw, punctuation is your friend and exists so people can understand wtf you’re talking about.
For your information “Einstein” the man did not stab anyone. Stop hating.
