Watching Canadian football is basically watching the guys that couldn't get drafted into the NFL or sign as free agents. Honestly the majority of the league is America Rejects which isn't always a bad thing if Canada didn't have football Warren Moon might have just been another QB's coach at the college level.

So here's to you rank and file member of a division one football team that didn't hear his name called on draft day. You can always make a living playing up North and there's no shame in that.

I am actually for this move. I remember back in the late 80's and 90's, BSPN used to show CFL games. That is where I first heard of Marcus Allen's brother Damon. I saw a game he played in and he looked phenomenal, then i wondered why he never got a shot in the NFL.

I would actually be for allowing 1 CFL player annually inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It is not the NFL Hall of Fame, but the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and ALL outstanding members who played professional football should be recognized.

Not gonna watch a league headlined by NFL-washout Colt Brennan, the XFL....errr.....FUL....err....UFL? Is that it? lol

The funny part is that in Canada when they air the CFL games on NFLN, it gets blocked. They usually play documentaries even though the guide says "Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs Saskatchewan Roughriders."

The CFL doesn't get the respect it deserves in the USA. Don't get me wrong, I live and breathe the NFL in Canada, but the CFL is a great way to fill the football void in the summer. The NFL should really take notice at a few of the rule differences because there's a lot more scoring in the CFL than the NFL because it forces teams to take more risk...the field is larger, the ball is larger, there's three downs, there's one more player on the field for each team, the OT is much more interesting, and receivers only need one foot on the ground to make a catch. The Grey Cup is a great tradition in Canada and always ends up being a great game just like the Superbowl.

ndnut says:

"Do the Ravens fans remember when the CFL came there after the Colts took the moving vans out of town?"

This Packer fan remembers. The franchise adopted the name Baltimore CFL Colts, only to have the NFL go ballistic with the claim that it still retained all rights to all variations of the name Baltimore Colts.

As a compromise, the NFL offered the team two nicknames that became available when St. Louis and Baltimore's expansion bids were rejected: Stallions and Bombers. The Stallions name was accepted, and the new helmet logo featured a horse's head that morphed into flowing stripes.

The NFL then ripped off that logo for the Denver Broncos' updated look, while the Patriots' new logo featured a Minuteman's head morphing into flowing stripes. Go figure.

Oh, and did the NFL really expect the Baltimore franchise to opt for Bombers when Winnipeg already had the Blue Bombers?

Please don't compare CFL to Arena football or UFL. The CFL actually has strong franchises, strong fanbases, and some talent. I actually like the three down format. With the way the passing game is taking over the NFL, you might see it in the NFL in 20 years. Some CFL franchises post 30,000 in attendance a game, and most are over 25,000. Not too bad.

Should have high rating since the pro-owner shills have stated they don’t watch the NFL for the great players, they watch for football. They have advocated scabs, replacement and only cheering for teams not players. So you will have football without the high skill level that’s in the NFL, so they ought to love it. They are pure football fans.

Your "pro-owner shills" thing is getting really old. Go apply for De-moron's job if you really want to make a difference

Should have high rating since the pro-owner shills have stated they don't watch the NFL for the great players, they watch for football. They have advocated scabs, replacement and only cheering for teams not players. So you will have football without the high skill level that's in the NFL, so they ought to love it. They are pure football fans.

They played CFL simulcasts last year.

I'm a Saskatchewan Roughriders fan (Darian Durant simply slays).

I'm also almost as anxious to see D.J. Boldin play for Toronto as Anquan Boldin is my all-time favorite player.

I love it. Can't wait to see Terrelle Pryor in Roughrider green!!! He'll be a beast when his receiver gets a running head start, he throws it from the mid-field (55 yard line), through the uprights and 20 yards deep into the endzone. I love the CFL!!!
