I would actually be for allowing 1 CFL player annually inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It is not the NFL Hall of Fame, but the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and ALL outstanding members who played professional football should be recognized.

Not gonna watch a league headlined by NFL-washout Colt Brennan, the XFL….errr…..FUL….err….UFL? Is that it? lol

The CFL doesn’t get the respect it deserves in the USA. Don’t get me wrong, I live and breathe the NFL in Canada, but the CFL is a great way to fill the football void in the summer. The NFL should really take notice at a few of the rule differences because there’s a lot more scoring in the CFL than the NFL because it forces teams to take more risk…the field is larger, the ball is larger, there’s three downs, there’s one more player on the field for each team, the OT is much more interesting, and receivers only need one foot on the ground to make a catch. The Grey Cup is a great tradition in Canada and always ends up being a great game just like the Superbowl.

This Packer fan remembers. The franchise adopted the name Baltimore CFL Colts, only to have the NFL go ballistic with the claim that it still retained all rights to all variations of the name Baltimore Colts.

As a compromise, the NFL offered the team two nicknames that became available when St. Louis and Baltimore’s expansion bids were rejected: Stallions and Bombers. The Stallions name was accepted, and the new helmet logo featured a horse’s head that morphed into flowing stripes.

The NFL then ripped off that logo for the Denver Broncos’ updated look, while the Patriots’ new logo featured a Minuteman’s head morphing into flowing stripes. Go figure.

Oh, and did the NFL really expect the Baltimore franchise to opt for Bombers when Winnipeg already had the Blue Bombers?

Football was invented in Canada and has been played in Canada since 1884.
