The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been plagued lately with a rash of arrests, of players and non-players alike.

Now, a Bucs official reportedly was one of 32 men arrested in a Dateline-style sex sting operation.

Per The Daily Commercial of Leesburg, Florida, one of the suspects is named Brian Weiss.  He told police that he works for the Buccaneers.

An online search reveals that a man named Brian Weiss is the team’s Luxury Suite Sales Manager.  (He also appears to be on Twitter, but he hasn’t posted any new messages since late April.)

The men (in ages ranging from 19 to 63) arrived at a local vacation home with the intent of having sex with girls ranging in age from nine to 14.  They were lured to the location via online communications with undercover officers posing as underage girls.

“These suspects came with the intention of having sex with a child, instead they went to jail,” Sheriff Gary Borders said Tuesday during a press conference.

The seven-day operation began on Tuesday, June 14 and lasted a week.  The defendants reportedly face 25 years in jail.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Buccaneers already have parted ways with Weiss.

  1. So if the Bucs have already parted ways with him, was this before or after he was arrested…and shouldn’t the headline read “Former Bucs Official…?”

In any case, its always refreshing to see scum get busted.

  2. Why do people continue to do stupid things like this? They’re sick and I’m glad they got caught. I hope this gets tons of media attention too. That will their 25 years in jail even better when all their cell mates find out what they’re in there for.

  3. Child molesters deserve the death penalty…period. They can never EVER be a decent member of society. They are born effed up genetically just like sociopaths, serial killers etc. and you can’t psychoanalyze them into being normal.

  4. Now if he would have just brought his mom along and took a few shots with a pistol at the house, the Bucs would have never parted ways with him….cuz apparently thats not frowned upon in that organization….

I do have to add I love all the “just have a seat” jokes that popped in immediately, great stuff…!

Trust me, in those 25 years in prison he is going to have to endure things MUCH worse than death. Those guys don’t think too much of child molesters.

  6. “The most loving thing to do is to share your bed with someone. It’s very charming. It’s very sweet. It’s what the whole world should do.”

How about give ’em 25 years, and THEN the death penalty?

  9. Wow! 9-14 year olds…If degenerate sex is what these guys were after than I can’t wait till the inmates in prison introduce them to some of the rules regarding pedophiles! I don’t feel the least bit bad for what is about to happen to them. Some people deserve no mercy whatsoever. I especially love the B.S. excuses these guys give when they get caught!

They face up to 25 years in prison–that doesn’t mean they’ll get the maximum. If they have no priors and with no evidence they actually molested anyone, they probably won’t do much time at all.

CKL is right; monsters don’t stop being monsters just because they got caught. They should lock them up and never let them out. And if they can prove any of them has ever touched a child, they should be death penalty candidates. Instead they’ll probably be out in short order and right back on the prowl. That’s why we’re always hearing about children being murdered by “convicted” sex offenders.

  11. That is so damn sick….Surprised though..usually that’d be coming from someone in jets organization.

  12. Last one –
Chris Hansen : “My name is Chris Hansen with MSNBC and we’re doing a story on adults who meet young teen over the internet and come meet them to have sex. If there is anything else you’d like to say, we’d love to hear it. If not you’re free to walk out the door you came in.”
Weiss : “Will I be arrested?”
Hansen : “That’s not up to me.”

  13. It’s amazing how these pigs keep popping up. You think they would have learned their lesson after those multiple How to Catch a Predator specials. Just go after girls your age you pigs!!!

  14. South Park episode immediately comes to mind…. “Ahhh Chris Hanson!” what a dummy this guy is. and with the lack of productive work dont be surprised if the crime rate continues to rise with employees and players alike. No paycheck= desperate professional athlete…

  15. the only negative is that the prison system actually separates these from general population because they would be killed. Now that’s what’s wrong with the justice system, these animals should be put in with the worst of the worst and see how they like being abused.

close? You mean ‘clothes’? not even close!

  17. Brian Weiss gets arrested, while Mark Sanchez gets a pass? Guess that’s the difference between 16 and 17, huh?

  18. This guy was a ticket salesman. It wasnt a “Bucs official.” It wasnt a coach or a player or anyone involved in football operations.

It’s like if an employee of Wal-Mart got busted for this. It’s not Wal-Mart’s fault.

  19. My screename guesses

No, that’s the difference between 9-14 and 17. Did you even read the article? You may hate the Jets but that’s a disgusting comparison.

  21. That is so damn sick….Surprised though..usually that’d be coming from someone in jets organization.

Miztress Rachael, you’re back! Since you’re slinging mud towards THE Jets once again, maybe we should talk about how they are running up the ole’ Arrest Meter since the lock out began.

    Oh wait.

  22. Thumbs up if you keep picturing that south park episode hahaha just have a seat, right over here.
