I wasn’t aware that McGee played defense. Was he rushing Kolb? Trying to tackle Kolb?

If your point is that he led Dallas to a victory and Kolb couldn’t, that’s a terrible comparison. He was facing Philly’s 2nd and 3rd string D with the rest of your healthy starters. Kolb had Nick Cole and Jason Avant for 3 series, then no one.

And to your point about Romo, I agree with you. I don’t know why people bash him. I get nervous every time the birds are getting ready to face him, that’s how I judge whether or not I truly think a qb is any good. Romo is tough and anyone who says he isn’t, is just looking to hate him because he plays for Dallas.

3 ints and 1 td while having 2nd and 3rd stringers block Ware and Ratliff while he is trying to complete passes to Chad Hall, Clay Harbor (3 drops, one of which would have been a 65 yard TD) and Riley Cooper.

I think having the Cards O-line while throwing to Fitz and Breaston is a little different story.

As I’ve said before, stats are nice, but they never tell the whole story. And, again, I’m not saying he is going to be a star, but to call him a bum is ridiculous.

I say let Arizona battle it out for the top pick of next year’s draft with Orton, Hasselback or what ever stop gap QB they can find. Forget DRC, just sign Asomugha.

If the Eagles offered Kolb for DRC AZ would jump all over that in 1 second. they would most likely even have to put a 2nd next year on top to make it work. But the truth is I think the Eagles will keep Kolb this year as a back up plan and if Vick proves he’s the guy they will trade him Kolb next year.

Then all the teams that did need a QB this year who didn’t get the first pick in the draft are going to feel real stupid for not trading a 1 for kolb because next year with the tag the price is two firsts.

Also, for all of the naysayers on Kolb’s value, I know of at least two teams who have contacted the Eagles and already offered a 1st rounder for him in next year’s draft who finished in the bottom half of the league in 2010.

You know, people talked bad about Tony Romo after 7 starts. 5-2 record, 98.3 passer rating. Heck they’re still saying it after three Pro Bowl appearances, several “player of the week” awards, Galloping Gobbler, All-Iron Award, #4 all-time YPA, #4 all-time passer rating, #8 all-time completion percentage, #1 all-time adjusted yards per pass attempt, .639 record as a starter (.650 if you only count games that he started AND finished). So yeah if they’re going to say it about Tony Romo after all that, you probably should get used to it being said about Kolb until he does better than that.

12 inches higher and the pass gets batted down, maybe still intercepted. 24 inches and it MIGHT have been completed. There’s no getting around the fact that Vick tried to force one in to a guy that was covered as well as a WR can be covered on first down, though. And he threw it into the coverage.

Did DRC have a bad year last year? Yeah, but the Eagles media keeps acting like we’ll just trade young talent to them like we’re stupid. This rumor is just as dumb as the Patrick Peterson for Kolb rumor.

Give the Eagles a 2nd rounder and see if they take it; if not, move to orton.

Judging him based on 7 starts is the most ludicrous thing I’ve ever heard. His starts were against G.B., SF, ATL, Dallas, Ten, NO,and KC.

He torched KC, Atl, and SF. He he was hurt vs. GB after about 7 throws, he was the ONLY starter to play on offense vs. Dallas’s starting D and still almost won, and he played awful vs. Ten and pretty bad versus a NO team that ended up winning the Superbowl. Again, not saying he’s going to be a stud, but how can you say for sure he won’t? I wouldn’t bet against him.

Good thing the Colts didn’t judge Manning based on his first seven starts, heck, his passer rating for his first 16 games was 71.2!

Kolb was behind chuncky soup and fight club. Who knows he may be very good he has given indications that he has talent and can play in the NFL. More important can he stay healthy?

I was saying this all last year, and I can admit I was wrong.

The guy took a lot of punishment (and avoid a lot too) last year with a mostly inexperienced OL including a guy who was new starting at Center. (McGlynn) He was GREAT from the pocket and I think he can be again this year (when they can make him one).

They lost in the playoffs to the eventual Superbowl champs. If Vick’s pass into the end zone it 12 inches higher, The Eagles go up 23-21 in the 4th. That’s all fantasy at this point, granted, but no other team was in that good of a position to take out GB in the playoffs last year, and they were even in the playoffs largely because of MVP Runner-up Mike Vick. (Had they not come back to beat the Giants, they need to win out to get in the playoffs ahead of NY)

Cincinnati has an opening at CB if they decide to let Joseph walk to free agency so it could be a win-win situation for both teams.
