There is no way they will put four of the top five as defensive players. Not a colts fan at all, but Manning is always number one because of his leadership, commitment and “coach on the field” mentality. I think most players would agree.

Similar to Jordan and to that other Colts quarterback, the one who played in Balt, where the real Colts logo should still be.

considering the fact that in his first 2 years as a starter Rodgers was the first QB in NFL history to throw for over 4000 yards and 25 TDs..and last year leading the Packers to 3 straight playoff wins on the road and winning the SB MVP after beating the Steelers…anyone who thinks Rodgers is “overrated” or “ranked too high” are either misguided uninformed morons or Packer haters. I really dont give a rats ass where he belongs on this list..all i DO CARE about is that he is the starting QB for my football team. I realize jealousy causes insanity and stupidity in these posts but i can’t imagine too many of you…after the 3 years Rodgers has had as a starter…wouldn’t take him as your teams starting QB tomorrow.

What exactly has Rivers done in his career so far? The dude performs great in the regular season but fails everytime when it comes to helping advance his team in the playoffs. As for Rodgers, he helped lead his team to not one, not two, not three but four postseason victories and was named Super Bowl MVP. I don’t consider that just a ‘couple nice seasons’

Vick did his thing last yr. He’s way better than mcnabb & Manning wasnt all that great for the past two yrs. The big crimes are the Nagta, Big Ben, Jamaal Charles & Phillip Rivers are too low. Rivers rivals Tom Brady as the two best QBs in the league

Awww, don’t be bitter.. It’s ok to admit you’d rather have Rodgers starting for your franchise than whoever you have, save for Peyton Manning, Brady or Brees.

And he did lose one of his talented receivers in Finley last season. He still put up solid numbers.

However, your argument because null and void when you said Eli is better than Rodgers. Only an ignorant hater would make that statement.

anyone stop and think that this list is probably meant to be controversial? NFL has to give it’s fans something to keep their attention during the lockout..

Peppers deserves to be in the top 10 for sure! Anyone who disagrees obviously didn’t see the Bears play the Panthers last season… His sack/interception/shushing his old fans play alone gets him there! Dudes a stud that always has to be double teamed and still makes huge plays/major contributions.

Those WR’s for Rodgers dropped a LOT of crucial passes. It’s his accuracy to lead them right in the hands that makes the average WRs look “like studs”. It’s not his fault some of them have hands of stones.

Are you really determining how good a QB is based on how many division titles he has lead his team too? because right now I could honestly care less if the Packers won the division this past season. They shown everyone they are the best team in their division by winning the Super Bowl and beating the actual division winner on the way there.

Even though I am very happy Vick wasn’t ranked ahead than Rodgers, I still think he was ranked too high, especially considering he only played in a total of 12 games last year with 1-2 being good games which apparently most people determine how good he is even though they were against pretty poor defenses.

I’ve never seen accuracy like that in a SB before. Not even close. Sure the packers could’ve beat the Steelers with their back up QB but Rodgers made it look easy. His stats would’ve only been better if his receivers hadn’t dropped so many balls as well.

Okay, if I may interject….

Correct me if my logic is flawed, but a list of the best of 2011 would mean these are the players they expect to have the best and most impactful seasons in 2011, right? You know, since it hasn’t been played and all…..

So it’s not a best statistical performances of 2010. It’s like putting together a fantasy draft board, but without specific scoring rules. It doesn’t matter who was better last year, it’s looking at past performance, age, and who they expect to improve or decline, and who will be effective in their current role with their current team.

Really, because based on this list Greg Jennings, his primary receiver last season, was only the 15th best WR in the league. Rodgers only had his TE, Jermichael Finley, for 3 games. Rodgers is every bit as good as the other QBs on the list. Keep doubting him….he’ll keep putting on Super Bowl rings.

Funny how any QB that points and poses and mocks the other team by pretending to put on some stupid invisible wrestling belt during a game would be a complete jag off if he played for any other team but not Rodgers.
