Aside from that, it’s a sad story, but does that mean he should be pardoned? No. Problems like this are part of being a business owner. A lot of people who aren’t former sports figures have endured the same thing. He should have bit the bullet in ’84, taken out a loan, and paid the fine. Ignoring the IRS is like ignoring your wife….you can fill in the blanks there.

Instead they whine like the typical Viking they are and managed to somehow appeal the suspension to none other than a Minnesota judge whom ruled against the NFL’s ruling to suspend them and let them play.

And, then a few misguided fans create a facebook page in support of him. I appreciate what Fuzzy has done for the franchise, and certainly am proud of his accomplishments on the field.

Still, laws are not selectively applied (or more aptly put, shouldn’t be selectively applied). He made the poor decision not to pay his taxes, he should have to deal with the consequences.
