So the Pat’s were proven to have no wrongdoing. Was McDaniels ever proven of wrongdoing?
_______________________________
The Pats did do wrong per that memo and were punished for taping from the sidelines. There was evidence of that. Goodell had them turn over their own tapes plus they had the one Mangini/Tannenbaum had confiscated. What I meant was that there was never any evidence they taped another team's practice (despite what that liar Matt Walsh kept going on about, he had NOTHING).

We can't post most links here so go google "McDaniels+ videotape" and you will get an eyeful.

What angers a lot of us Pats fans is that a) he threw BB directly under the bus when he was caught, like a squealing little piggie peeing down his leg in fear and b) despite the NFL having EVIDENCE he taped another team's PRACTICE which is not public while taping from the sides is still taping an event everyone there can see also, the punishment was MICROSCOPIC compared to what BB and the Pats got.

Pats having to take their medicine is fine by me. They did wrong by ignoring the memo and got caught. What isn't fine is a WORSE issue comes up after that when the Pats punishment is seen by us Pats fans as over the top due to being a deterrent and the NFL slaps McD on the wrist instead.
You weren't being obnoxious with your initial cameragate related comment so I was mostly just joking w/ you, hence the wink...but in case you wanted the real & boring thoughts of mine on the topic , you now have em. :)

Hopefully it’s not the Pat’s. “Playbook Gate” just doesnt sound as good as “Spygate”

It’s too bad it was identified as an AFC team ’cause your OC was the last one to get caught violating the taping rule and by doing something the Pats never were proven to have done.

It is funny everyone says the Pats though since the Jets were the last AFC team who was caught doing something worth fining over.

Either way I would expect it was a team with a new HC and/or new offensive systems who would do this. Pats obviously don’t fit that.

I love Bengal fans trashing Mike Brown.

This is easy to figure out. Why would a team with no coaching turn over need to break rules like this? Look at the teams with new coaching staff in the AFC.

Now tell me who you think it is?

If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'!

If I had to guess, I'd say it was/is the Dolphins since they were not bright enough to get the playbooks of a new offense to the players when they had the chance. Although, if it is the Dolphins, it would be the first aggressive action taken by the offensive coaching staff in 2+ years

The Patriots had playbooks already prepared and addressed before the lockout began, anticipating a small window of opportunity when the lockout might be temporarily lifted so they could be mailed out in compliance with league rules.
What team has been more aggressive to bring in free agents and spend money every which way and do everything clean or not to get ahead.
I hate the Pats but they act with a little more class than to be a team reported upon like this.

If I had to pick one team, ill pick the team that picked up every big name free agent, that did everything to get their team on tv, that went as far to cheat as have a coach trip a player in the middle of the game......

Nobody has been more aggressive to steal headlines than the Jets, so what makes me think with the way their franchise has acted in the last 2 years, that this wouldn't be regarding them.

The bengals jokes are great, thanks for a laugh

Likely a team that the NFL favors so they won't do anything about it. Kind of like with Starcaps how the NFL let off quite a few players, while focusing on Denver and Minnesota players with suspensions.

That or it is just the Patriots daring the league to do something again.

Im so used to hearing about how offenses are better when they have been in the same system for a few years and guys dont have to learn a new playbook.

So which is it? Do they make that many changes from year to year??

I love the fact that so many commenters were falling over themselves to identify the Patriots as the team distributing playbooks, because it proves how stupid the people that continue to beat that drum really are.

Why would the Patriots need to distribute their playbook? The same system has been in place for over a decade and almost all of the players have experience in the system.

Then again, this isn't surprising because these are the same geniuses that mistook what the Patriots did in 2007 for "cheating" even though it was the NFL equivalent to doing 72mph in 65mph zone.

Haters gon' hate, I suppose.

Everyone is going to say Patriots, but the Patriots likely were ready to send them out when the lockout was lifted. It's possible, but that makes it unlikely.

The Dolphins did not distribute playbooks and it makes them a primary suspect.

"The only question is whether the league cares enough to look deeply into the matter. Our guess is no; there are far more pressing issues for the NFL to worry about at the moment."

Then the league should waive the rule. It's not right that someone doing the right thing and following the rules should be disavdantaged by others that are cheating, and yes that's what is even if the rule doesn't make sense. It just invites cheating.

At least one AFC team was “very aggressively” sending playbooks to its players recently, a source with knowledge of the situation told FOXSports.com.

at least they found another source at Fox, and one thats close to the situation. I was starting to wonder where the info was coming from
