The most insane two weeks of player movement we’ve ever seen could be just a few weeks away.
It’s only natural for the rumors to pick up, and no player has caused more idle speculation, rumors, and reports this offseason than Eagles backup quarterback Kevin Kolb. The latest comes from Dave “Softy” Mahler of 950 KJR in Seattle.
The host hears from a source that the Seahawks have already offered a first- and third-round pick for the fifth-year pro.
It’s not a shocker. The Seahawks were known to have interest in Kolb last season, when he wasn’t available. Peter King of Sports Illustrated reported that a team already said it would give up a first-round pick for him. Other than perhaps Arizona, Seattle looks like the best fit for Kolb.
Even if the Seahawks didn’t want Kolb, it wouldn’t hurt for them to enter the bidding or float an offer to drive up the price for their division rival.
We’ve heard so much about Kolb by now that it’s hard to know what’s rumor and what’s fact. Still, we’d be surprised if he doesn’t land in the NFC West.
