PFT takes over The Dan Patrick Show on Thursday

As Dan Patrick and his crew of Paul Pabst, Todd Fritz, Seton O’Connor, and Andrew Perloff spend time in Boston filming their roles in the next Adam Sandler film, they needed someone to man the microphone on Thursday.

And they eventually got far enough down the list for my name to come up.  (It must be a long-ass list.)

So it was a late night at PFT headquarters while I got up to speed on sports other than pro football, after first accepting the reality that there are sports other than pro football.  But I’ll still talk plenty of pro football, especially since the guest list features Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, Buccaneers G.M. Mark Dominik, agent Drew Rosenhaus, NFL Network’s Albert Breer.

Dan Wetzel of Yahoo! Sports will talk about the latest example of potential NCAA rules violations in college football, and I’ll stretch the limits of my all-sports range with an interview of Pirates closer and All-Star Joel Hanrahan.

The fun starts at 9:00 a.m. ET, on radio stations throughout the country, streaming at DanPatrick.com, and via various mobile apps.  (It’s audio-only on Thursday, so folks who tune in on DirecTV or Root Sports will get to see a replay of a past show.)

And then, as soon as the show ends, we’ll fire up the PFT Live studio for what ultimately will be a four-hour talkathon.

It still beats the hell out of working for a living.

I normally watch DP on directv and noticed there has been reruns all week and figured that meant no new shows & turned it off. Thanks for the heads up. Will try to listen online instead.
