I see Houston signing Joseph and a safety such as Gerald Sensabaugh. I don;t think the Jets will re-sign Cromartie and he would be a possibility as well as Ike Taylor.

I see Asomugha going to Philly. I know Dallas wants him but can they afford him? They’d have to dump WR Williams and OT Barron and others too. The Jets love corners but can they tie up 30-40 million in Asomugha-Revis-Cromartie? Don’t think so.

Don’t believe Mayhew is alone in that group.
Just off the top of my head you might want to add Buffalo, Cincy, Tampa, Arizona and Carolina to that group.

But, I don’t see it happening. Martin Mayhew is typically not the type to throw the kind of money that it will take to land Nnamdi at 1 player -and a CB at that. We already have alot of money in Suh and Stafford contracts, and will have to pay C. Houston a tad bit more to keep the best CB we have. I see the Lions going after Ike Taylor or another good, but not a GREAT CB. The Lions have made it clear in past interviews that they are looking to build a team not just for the now, but the long term (i.e Belichick school of NFL management) and believe that they have some good young CBs that would benefit from a solid Veteran’s leadership. For those of us life long Lions fans, we want a super bowl contender NOW. But, Mayhew, and Schwartz want to build a team that contends every year – even if they are 1-2 years out from that. For selfish reasons, I want them to get Nnamdi Asomugha now, but the truth is that they can get 3 good players (CBs and LBs) for the same money.

By letting them both go though and dumping Okoyes heavy contract and possibly slaytons contract. The Texans could be in great shape to make a run at nnamdi.

I see him going to a place where he could be a shutdown Corner in a good secondary. Maybe Tampa if Aqib can play, Philly is also an option.

Why would he go into the same situation he was already in? He’s going to get paid regardless…
