Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones, who’s in trouble with the law once again after an incident at a Cincinnati bar early this morning, is defending himself and saying the police had no business arresting him.

It’s ridiculous,” Jones told WCPO Channel 9. “It don’t make no sense.”

The arrest record says Jones was drunk, yelled obscenities and resisted arrest. Jones says none of that is true.

“The only thing I can do is be me and do what I’m supposed to do. I was not yelling at the police. I was not yell[ing] profanity at the police. And at the end of the day . . . I’m the bad guy,” Jones said.

Jones, who was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at 2:35 a.m., says he was just trying to enjoy a night out with his wife for her birthday. The last time we had news of Jones getting in trouble with the law, it turned out that it was, in fact, a mistake by the police. But Jones’s track record makes it tough to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.
