Paul Posluszny says he wants to return to Buffalo

Buffalo’s struggling defense could lose two of its better players with linebacker Paul Poslusny and cornerback Drayton Florence set to be free agents.

In the PFT team checklist for the Bills back in May, we called Posluszny was the team’s most important free agent.  He could be tricky to keep, but he’s not someone that wants out of Buffalo.  Pat Kirwan of NFL.com reports Posluszny told him that he wants to return to the Bills.

It will be a tricky negotiation.  Posluszny is a team leader and the Bills could sorely use some continuity on defense.  Then again, they may have to pony up top-ten linebacker money for a player that has been very good as a pro, but not exactly a gamebreaker.

It sounds like Posluszny will give the Bills every chance to keep him. At this stage, they don’t have the luxury to let quality leaders walk away.

(Thank you. I just set a P.R. in writing Posluszny the most consecutive times without misspelling it. I think.)

  1. I went to Niagara Falls last week. I also want to return to Buffalo someday. Absolutely amazing.

Too bad people get all caught up in money and what’s in it for me and and and…

  2. An over rated LB, who is the best MY team has. He is not top 10 yet, but with a better supporting cast he could become one. If the new deal forces owners to pony up 90% of the salary cap, then perhaps Ralph will be forced to build around Poz.

  3. solid player and goddamn what a handsome polish guy….almost as good looking as the polishking. polish men make the best lovers, its a fact.

  4. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny. Posluszny.

    …I think I beat you

  5. The first one was Poslusny.

    All the others were Posluszny.

So much for the spelling record, Rosentall (sic).

  6. Gregg, I wouldn’t mention this if you hadn’t congratulated yourself on not misspelling his name, but you did misspell it in your first paragraph…
That being said, Posluszny is an impact linebacker when he can stay healthy, and he’s only done that once in his four seasons in the league. Buffalo doesn’t normally break the bank for players, and coupling that with the health concerns, it would not surprise me to see Pos headed elsewhere next season.

  7. Buffalo is an awesome city – I also want to return! When we went from the city of Buffalo to Canada… it took literally 10 minutes. Now THAT is awesome being that close to another country.

  8. Not sure why he’s deserving of top ten money for a LB…the guy is hurt every year. Once he stays healthy and really starts putting something together, then perhaps it might be warranted.

  9. This fellow Nittany Lion would love to see one of my all time favorites in Giants blue…

  10. Posluszny means “Porcelain” or “Fine China” in some other language. It has to be. The guy is constantly breaking bones and hurt.

Everywhere in Buffalo has better wings than the Anchor Bar.

Next time you are in town; go to Duff’s if you are in the burbs or go to Gabriel’s Gate if you are on the Westside. You can also get La Nova delivery for BBQ wings.

Think of the Anchor Bar like the Model T Ford. Original, but there have been vast improvements since then.

  12. If the Bills were smart and of course they are not they would NOT resign Poz as the guy is hurt ALL the time and cant make it thru a season. Maybe the Bills will finally learn to stay away from PSU players, they are almost always a bust on this level. Aaron Maybin anyone?

Dude I already have a hard enough time watching Sean Lee in a Cowboys jersey calm down.

    @ dirtyharry1971

Kerry Collins, Kyle Brady, Jared Odrick, Andrew Quarless (SB Champ), Dan Connor, Michael Robinson, Deon Butler, Justin King, Tamba Hali, Hell even the first few years of Larry Johnson were pretty decent in the back field with Priest Holmes. You can’t name two guys and just assume the whole college program is crap hell than I could put USC in the same category Leinart, Lendale White, Reggie Bush and the never winning anything Carson Palmer.
