I’ve spent hours and hours researching the case and going over the files with lawyers and other professionals for more than a year. You’re late to the party and your asinine behavior might impress the little boys but it doesn’t make you a big man. And to those who’ve been around a while, it just kinda makes you look like a jackass.

None of those were found in the course of the examination. The one small speck of DNA–not semen, not seminal fluid, but DNA–that was found on her person was so small and so degraded that it could not be tested for identity using the most advanced testing methods available. That’s because it was likely left behind following showering from a much earlier sexual encounter. When asked by the press if she’d had sex with anyone else that day, DA Fred Bright said he could not comment because that would be violating the accuser’s privacy.

In Roethlisberger’s rape case, the tests at the hospital actually did find human, male DNA – meaning there was sexual contact – it just wasn’t of sufficient quantity to test it against Roethlisberger’s. So, before you go calling someone a jackass for not knowing the facts, you might want to educate yourself. Otherwise, you kind of look like the jackass.

A three-game suspension? Goodell didn’t suspend Vince Young after his arrest last season for assault! Get a grip. This is a matter for the legal system. If Goodell suspends Ward, he’d better be able to demonstrate that he’s suspended every player who has ever been picked up on a DUI with no prior disciplinary issues on his record.

That he failed to suspend VY was MINDBOGGLING to me…just insane. IT WAS ON TAPE for goodness sakes. How much more evidence w/o an actual conviction does he NEED???

And if he suspends Ward for a single DUI , much as I loathe that people drive drunk, Steelers fans have a case to call for his removal from office. I can’t recall a single player he’s suspended for even 2 DUIs. Look at Dwayne Jarrett. His team dumped him after DUI #2 IIRC. The NFL did nothing to him.

Thank you! I don’t know where these clowns are getting that we make our players out to be saints. That’s idiotic. I wouldn’t make my closest friends out to be saints, let alone a bunch of guys I don’t know who happen to wear my team’s colors. Human beings screw up. The only people who seem to think they and their teams are saints are all the ones here casting stones like they have never done anything wrong in their lives. I’m just happy not to be standing next to them while they’re tempting those lightning strikes.

No, not really dude. Sure, some Ravens and other AFC fans are going to throw a whole bunch of crap your way. The reality is alot of NFL players just aren’t very bright, including your most recent dull lightbulb, Mr. Ward. Has nothing to do with winning or championships. Has everything to do with his own actions.

You really don’t have to blindly defend a guy who obviously made a stupid mistake. It just makes you look as stupid as him.

Yes, I posted about the evidence in the Roethlisberger case. I’ve also posted many times in defense of Ray Lewis. Before you use my words to attack the hypocrisy of Steelers fans, at least take the trouble to learn whether I’ve been one of those hypocrites.

You’re right … I just can’t stand people using rape as a football catcall. The hilarious irony in all this is that I think Ben is a big jerk. His continuing immaturity blows my mind. And I don’t know whether he just doesn’t apply himself to film study or it doesn’t sink in–either way it drives me nuts. Defending him is like having to constantly chaperone your idiot cousin.

I for one, am shocked by this development. A criminal attorney lied to the media and said his client didn’t do it?? NO WAY!

LOL at Raven fan hypocrisy about supporting a drunk driving football player. Where did anyone get the idea that the Steelers are “the sainted franchise of the NFL?” Either you’ve built your rival team up to that level all on your own, or you really get sensitive when football fans (some of them who actually think pink football jerseys look good on them) on the internet say outlandish things.

The fact is, no matter what the game is, Hines takes it to the limit. And if people around the NFL are so mad about contact rules (that would apply to both the Steelers and the Ravens) why do they whine whenever there is real contact?

Hines isn’t chopping at the knees, he hits people in the mouth. If you don’t like it, light him up!! There have been plenty of “bounties” on his head and I think everyone is just mad that no one has been able to collect on them. If players don’t like someone, they shut him up. Ochocinco has gotten blasted, same with T.O. He is a 180 lb WIDE RECEIVER!!! It’s not hard to find him with his gaurd down. Finnegan did.

I don’t care either way with the Steelers and Ravens but, I know if I were a Steelers fan, I wouldn’t care what Ravens’ fans said since they can’t beat the Steelers when it counts…or even when Ben is playing for that matter. And arguing crimes is pointless. Especially given the Ravens signed an already convicted murderer last year and have another accused one on their team. Those 2 trump an accused rapist and drunk driver if you ask me. And didn’t Sergio Kindle get a DUI recently?

Dude, we AREN’T acting like choirboys. The Ravens have certainly had their share of run-ins with the law. We just don’t make ourselves out to be the sainted franchise of the NFL like Steeler Fans do.

To be fair, I went on the “turd watch” section on this site and checked the arrest records of both the Steelers and the Ravens. Since the beginning of 2009 (as far back as the site goes), the Steelers have had two players arrested (Jeff Reed for disorderly conduct and Ward for the DUI). So how many have the Ravens had? 10? 12? Nope. TWO! One for a player who has never played a down for the team (Sergio Kindle – DUI) and one for an assistant coach (Andy Moeller – DUI). OK, so you tell me how the Ravens are any worse than the great, straight-and-narrow Steelers….I’m waiting. Hypocrites!

P.S. Before any of you Steeler apologists check my reserach, yes, Dante Stallworth is on the list. He was a Brown at the time of his arrest…not a Raven.

I absolutely DO consider the Ravens to be a classy organization. Steve Bicciotti is one of the best owners in sports, and Ozzie Newsome may be the best general manager.

Stop the BS, dude. Players are drafted, and then teams (ALL teams, including the Sainted Steelers) expect them to be mature and act like adults. Sometimes that happens, sometimes it doesn’t. Newsome is betting that some of the strong personalities in the Ravens locker room (R. Lewis, R. Rice, T. Suggs, E. Reed, etc….) will keep Smith on the right path. Will they? Time will tell.

The reason you are hearing from so many Ravens fans on here is that we are SO TIRED of hearing from HYPOCRITICAL STEELER FANS about how Ravens players spend their spare time knock over liqour stores with ski masks on, while the great Steelers NEVER have ane no any players in trouble. Oh, you mean the EVIDENCE that the Georgia DA DIDN’T have against Ray Lewis. Yes, I ALWAYS see the Steeler fans point to that lack of evidence when referring objectively to that case on this site.
