christie has scapegoated teachers and public workers, with the goal of building a national image.

while making plenty of theatrical cosmetic changes, the only meaningful change he has made was to pay for years of the state’s failure to fund its pensions obligation by the elimination of cost of living increases for retirees.

this will save a great deal of money. it is regressive in nature, and over time will take retirees currently barely making ends meet into poverty.

since most of the middle class have a relative, friend or are ourselves in this group, christie’s prospects dim faster than the BEST BY date on his bag of doughnuts.

and should he run for national office, take a clue how he proposes to solve social security….on the backs of me and you…

but the political consultant will be glad to take any money woody might want to spend exploring the options. why stop at senator?

1. The suicide blast was pretty low.

2. Since when does “ability to run things” factor in to getting voted into office? It’s more of “I have X number of people in my pocket” or “I can gain public acceptance by this maneuver here and that maneuver there”

Or it could be he cares less about a new CBA than the inept owners who own bad teams ala Jerry Richardson. What incentive does Woody Johnson (and Jerry Jones, Rooney, etc.) have to make him want to ‘level the playing field’ with the crap owners who run their teams poorly? If anything he would want a softer and higher salary cap so that the Jets can make a few more signings for their Super Bowl run.
