if we had internet and twitter when the cowboys were winning, everyone would be calling for their “tarnished” lomabardi’s too… fact is, the game hasn’t changed, only social media and connectivity/communication has. The patriots are no more cheaters than the Redskins, Broncos, Cowboys, and the rest of the league. Jimmy Johnson flat out said that he did taped everything to steal signals. Its what you did in the nfl.

Granted, the Chiefs had a better year in the end, but the Broncos kicked the crap out of the Chiefs 49-29 when they came to Mile High.

It was even worse then the score indicates.

I like Daniels for fantasy football purposes,but he is a cheat just like old patsie bosses.
There should be a hall of shame containing the Reggie Bush heisman and the 3 lombardies from new england.
It should be built in that endzone section where Jerry Jones constructs 800.00 seats that cant pass building codes.

McDaniels was only doing his job. Historically, the Broncos are far bigger cheaters than the Patriots or any other team have ever been accused of being.

They cheated the salary cap to put together the only roster that ever won them anything. If that weren’t enough, they cheated on the field at the same time, most infamously having their offensive line grease up their jerseys with an illegal substance in the ’97 playoffs.

And, of course, they regularly utilized illegal and dirty cut-blocks during the same time period.

McD was just following the proud Bronco tradition. To people asking why he only cheated in this one game, he probably didn’t. But this game with KC came after Denver’s bye week, which means they had extra time to prepare.

Josh knew his seat was hot. KC is a big rival and was the 1st place team in the division. He wasn’t taking any chances that day. Even late when the Broncos had the game well in hand, they kept blitzing over 20 times in the 4th quarter. The replay equipment in the stadium worked for the Broncos, but when the Chiefs challenged a play, replay suddenly couldn’t be used. All bases were covered.

McD just figured he was doing what Pat Bowlen would want him to. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

McDaniels got the HC job after one season as OC for one of the greatest offenses in the history of the league.

New England didn’t score all those points because of his genius play calling. Since he got that job in Denver McDaniels has become the poster-boy for “in-over-his-head”

Reminder – The Pats were caught stealing signals in the first half of the first game of the season. At the time they led 14-7. After getting caught they won the second half 24-7. Given the headlines at the time it would follow that they would be watched extra closely by the league. No more complaints.

The rumors that they had been doing it for 7 years prior to – how did it take the league 7 years to catch them and only catch them when a former assistant of Belichik turned them in? I still haven’t seen a good answer for that one.

Stealing signals is as old as the hills in all sports.

If the other team is stealing your signals – either find a better way of sending them or change them

Connecting the accusations against McDaniels to the fact that he was OC for New England 3 years ago is silly

the Broncos blew the Chiefs out that day but in all the post game speculation of how why Haley reacted the way he did whats forgotten that before the game got out of control the Cheifs were driving and challenged a call on the field…

it looked like it would be overturned but for one problem…the instant replay equipment didnt work…

had the Cheifs scored on that possession it might have been a far different game and I have a feeling that is what Haley was going off about

how many times has instant replay been shut down because of equipment problems ?

That is a wise opinion. As a Pats fan, I feel he is dead to me since he threw his old boss under the bus when he got caught taping another team’s practice, which is something the Pats never were proven to have done. Ever. After everything BB did to help this guy get a HC job, he just whips him right under that bus. Disgraceful.

He certainly took their offense from being good to terrible. When Josh arrived they had the 3rd ranked offense in the NFL with an All-Pro QB and All-Pro #1 receiver…both whom McDaniels sent packing. They also had a promising young RB named Peyton Hillis that Josh ended up giving to Cleveland for Brady Quinn…who never even played a down for the Broncos. It’s hard to overstate how badly McDaniels destroyed that team.

If McDaniels was a cheat, why did he turn his videographer in for filming the 49ers walkthrough in London? And in all fairness to Haley, he never publicly accused McDaniels of cheating — his punter did.

Then again, Haley and McDaniels are just about the two least likable guys in the NFL this side of Goodell, so who really cares?

Haley is a tool! Now that Weis is gone they’ll be back to 5-11 territory that Chiefs fans know best and are most comfortable in! After this next season Haley will be out looking for a new job just like the most overrated man in the NFL Scott Pioli. It’s gonna be sweet to watch!

Its pretty hard to ruin a team when you inherit such legendary starters like Marquand Manual, Hamza Abdullah(replacing Marlin McCree, replacing whoever Lowery), Dre Bly, Nate Webster, Jamie Wimborne, Duane Robinson, John Engleberger, the punch drunk Ben Hamilton, Tony “I Show up Once-Every Other Month” Scheffler and his BFF Jay “The Pick” Cutler (who musta missed his nap one fateful day), the fearsome two headed RB tandem of Selvin Young and Michael Pittman, and, of course, the consummate teammate and pro Brandon Marshall. I think accusing anybody of ruining that is like murdering a drowned man.

On a related note, why cheat like that just one time?…against the lowly (although super-charmed) Chiefs.
