Just months after Adrian Peterson compared the plight of the NFL player to “modern day slavery,” the Vikings running back said he believes there will be no hard feelings between the players and owners when the lockout ends.

“Not at all, it’s business as usual. You never get what you want, but you can get close to it. So I’m sure that’s what it’s going to end up being,” Peterson said at the ESPY’s to TMZ Live, via the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

James Harrison might disagree, but Peterson now seems to see the lockout for what it is: A business negotiation.

“It’s business. These owners, they are in their position because they worked hard, they made good decisions. So of course they are going to try to get the best deal for themselves. So it’s business,” Peterson said.

Wow. That’s so clear-headed and unemotional it almost gives the owners too much credit.
