Brett Favre didn’t exactly have a reputation in Green Bay or New York as a guy that would go out of his way to help his understudy at quarterback. Perhaps (supposed) retirement has him more relaxed.

Vikings quarterback Joe Webb has been working out with Favre the last few weeks in Hattiesburg, Miss. Favre has been helping Webb with his passing skills in exchange for lawnmowing duties. (Okay, we made that last part up.)

“It’s great to have a person like that as my contact,” Webb told the official UAB website. “He can still sling it.”

We’re going to just ignore the part that Favre has been throwing a lot for a while now. Cool?
