The Vick scandal and the Bobby Petrino incident have to come in the top 4. Took a playoff caliber team instantly into the gutter. I’d say losing the only Superbowl they ever made it to and squandering a 14-2 season should be on the list too.

Trading Brett Favre doesn’t cut the mustard if you ask me because he was shipped out due to being an unproductive drunk whose career was going to come to a quick end without that wake up call.

2011: Lol, how about trading away so much for Julio Jones. Tho it can’t be included (yet), history says all those kinds of trades usually fail.

2002: After beating the Packers on home soil in the playoffs (first team ever to do that) they went out with a whimper against the Eagles in the divisional round.

2004: Again a loss to the Eagles, this time in the NFC Championship game, after earning a first round bye.

2006: The firing of Jim Mora for comments made in the media about how he’d prefer coaching Washington state over coaching the Falcons in the playoffs.

The Streak: of 42 seasons without back-to-back winning seasons.

The Ron Mexico saga.

#1-Michael Vick. (Actually, he could be #1, 2, and 3).

#2-Trading Brett Favre for a pick used on a RB (Tony Smith) that played a whopping two seasons in the NFL.

#3-Bobby Petrino. Single worst moment for any NFL head coach=Shaking the owner’s hand and smiling on Monday Night Football, knowing he’s going to skip town the next morning, then notifying the players by letter tacked to their lockers. Infuriates me every time i think about it. Classless.

#4-Eugene Robinson getting arrested for solicitation the night before the Super Bowl.

Dis-Honorable mention- Getting inside Denver’s 30-yd. line 7 times and coming away with a total of 12 points in our only SB appearance so far. (The other 7 came on a Tim Dwight return TD). They were better than that.

I’ve been a fan since ’87, pretty much my whole life, and i am hard pressed to think of any worse moments than these

It was the 1999 NFC Championship game. The game was played in January.
Also, after the game, two players ( can’t remember names) did the “dirty bird” ( dance) to every section of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. This was a classless act and if sportsmanship plays a role in worst moments then this should be one.
