We'll know if there was contact if they sign any UFAs within a minute after the CBA is done.

But, seriously, if anyone thinks there was no contact between teams and players, directly or indirectly, then you're naive.

I bring up the whole Ken Dorsey and Chris Weinke working with Cam Newton situation. While I don't really care, there is NO WAY that the Panthers would allow "outsiders" to work with the # 1 overall pick in familiarizing him with new OC Chudzinski's playbook (Dorsey is familiar with Chudzinski's offense) unless there was communication between the Panthers/Chudzinski and Dorsey/Weinke. Since Dorsey/Weinke are not technically in the league and are not agents for or related to Newton, then they could conceivably talk to the Panthers/Chudzinski and relay any information to Newton. That's called indirect contact (ie a loophole). Certainly feasible.

Quite frankly, I'm surprised more teams didn't use this type of loophole to stay in contact with certain players. Why couldn't the teams "fire" their whole training and medical staff until the lockout was over and rehire them? That way injured players like Peyton Manning could get the medical advice they wanted from the people who take care of them. I know they were in a legal battle with the players, but I'm just trying to give an example on how you could work around the no contact rules.

Just thinking out loud...

So YOU’RE the listener to Wilde on his radio show !!!!

“He’s as solid as they come”. Yep, that why the State Journal fired him, and paid him to “go away” !

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I’ve seen the ratings of his show and Homer’s, and they are the lowest rated radio shows in the entire Milwaukee market. Good grief, they’re lower than the Christian music station. Only “Homer” could make sports talk radio sooooooooooo boring.

But hey, when they speak, they’re speaking to untold dozens !

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Well, I can think of 1250 reasons why you don't like Wilde or Homer........ the top 2:

2. Wilde is a real reporter well respected in the industry.

Gee, Jason Wilde get something wrong ????

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Fact is Wilde, gets things wrong (i.e. makes up stuff) more than anyone would ever believe.

It's one of the reasons the Wisconsin State Journal get rid of his a$$. They decided they'd rather pay him to just "go away" than to continue to pay him for his nonsense and bias.

And believe me, for the State Journal to say that, THAT says something !
