Ex-NFL player Nate Webster indicted for sex crimes

nate-webster

Former Bucs, Bengals and Broncos linebacker Nate Webster was arrested in Cincinnati on Thursday and has been indicted on charges of sexual battery, gross sexual imposition and five counts of unlawful sex with a minor.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Webster, who has seven children with four women, hired a 15-year-old girl as a babysitter and then initiated a sexual relationship with her, using guns to intimidate her into keeping quiet.

It’s a disgusting thing to live under the threat of this,” Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said. “This conduct occurred dozens of times. . . . In his car, his home, a park nearby.”

Prosecutors say Webster told the girl he would kill her and her family if she revealed the sexual relationship. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office served search warrants on Webster’s home on Thursday and found four guns and a small amount of marijuana.

Webster played in Tampa Bay from 2000 to 2003, in Cincinnatti in 2004 and 2005 and in Denver from 2006 to 2008.

  10. whatsafairway says: Jul 22, 2011 8:08 AM

Nothing says class like using a gun on a 15 year old girl to satisfy your disgusting needs.

    Bet your momma’s proud!

    Bring back the strike talk.

  22. djrigg0616 says: Jul 22, 2011 8:39 AM

To make matters worse, I’m pretty sure the 15 year old victim was a daughter of one of his former coaches.

Since he was with the Bucs he probably learned a few things from that scumbag Jeremy Stevens.

  26. jacksaysfu says: Jul 22, 2011 8:47 AM

    Dear NFL

Please make sure this child molester NEVER gets a penny from that new legacy fund.

  27. holeinone09 says: Jul 22, 2011 8:54 AM

C’mon man. Jokes are one thing but this has nothing to do with the teams he played for. If true, the guy is just sick, and he should be castrated.

    bengalsown says:

I don’t understand what the Bengals have to do with his situation…he last played for the Broncos and was drafted by the Buccaneers, the same team that drafted Talib…

    ————————————————

He played for the Bengals, lives in Cincy, and the crime took place in Cincy.

Unfortunately, the Bengals have built a reputation that the Bucs and Broncos do not have. When it’s the 4th arrest of a current or former Bengal in the last two weeks the connection is going to be noted.

That being said, I don’t think anyone is blaming the Bengals for this one, it just doesn’t help matters.

  29. pftstory says: Jul 22, 2011 8:58 AM

Of course the 15 year old girl is immune from this comment.

And the man is obviously a sicko if true who should be put away for good.

But notice the seven children with four women. Who are these women who keep going back to this loser for more?

  30. phinheads says: Jul 22, 2011 8:58 AM

    PacMan is a saint

  31. steelerspiratesbruins says: Jul 22, 2011 8:59 AM

This guy was always a scumbag on the field…apparently he’s this way off of it too.

  32. cdwains says: Jul 22, 2011 9:04 AM

He played played 40+ game for the Buc’s where his career started, 4 games for the Bengals, and then finished his career in Denver where he played 30+ games, but he is dubbed by the majority of national media as “Former Bengal Indicted for Sex Crimes”, and while he is a Former Bengal his last team was the Broncos, and he played 10 times the games for the Bucs and Broncos. So shouldn’t it say Former Bronco in the national press? Or former Buc since he played most of his games there? If he was going in the HOF he surely wouldn’t be a Bengal then would he, he would be a Buc or Bronco. The national media bias against the Bengals is comical.

  33. dickroy says: Jul 22, 2011 9:17 AM

I’m with hedden93 on this one. No joking matter.
I feel for the young girl and think what if this were one of my daughters. I just hope he gets the max time in prison. I heard what happens to guys that do this sort of thing in prison. He deserves it.

  34. Kaz says: Jul 22, 2011 9:22 AM

At least you was honest. Most outlets refer to him as x-Bengal. Of course they like to play into the jokes even though he only played 3 out of 98 career games as a Bengal. And ended his season in Denver.

  35. vetdana says: Jul 22, 2011 9:25 AM

He’ll be a tight end in prison.

    Not for long he won’t.

Prisons can be real tough on juvenile sex offenders and he probably won’t make it past the first down “huddle ” !!

  36. turk2875 says: Jul 22, 2011 10:04 AM

    “gross sexual imposition”

    HAHA, I get it!!!

  37. broncotis3000 says: Jul 22, 2011 10:13 AM

Yes, He was an X-bronco….Does everyone feel better now? This is the same assclown that everytime he made a tackle (5-6 yards downfield)his helmet flew off,and he celebrated like he won the Super Bowl!

So. . . it appears that Nate may be a horrible person in addition to being a horrible linebacker.
