Saints first-round tailback Mark Ingram got a scare on Friday in Huntsville, Alabama.

According to WBRC-TV, Ingram’s car collided with an 18-wheeler at 1:00 a.m. Friday.

Ingram’s girlfriend was riding with him.  Fortunately, no one was injured.

Thankfully no one was hurt. I hate the Aints but not like that. I actually want to see what ingram can do. Really liked his draft day interview.

So our first assumption should be someone was drinking and driving?

Did he have an injury that was removed? How are you “uninjured”?

Gotta watch out for those 18 wheelers driving in the middle of the night. Those guys drive like idiots.

You get into an accident and don’t get injured. That is “uninjured”. What you described would be “deinjured”.

Was he driving a Mini Cooper?

Once again, only good things happen after midnight. See Cedric Benson, Plax, Paccie, et al.

If he can come out of a collison with an 18 wheeler uninjured he is going to plow over defenders

A lot of good things happen at 1 am, just not on the road.

Please dont be a sign of things to come with our Running Backs this year….AGAIN! Resign Reggie, in case something like this does happen bc you know Nola would be singing a very different tune about Reggie had Ingram been injured.

he was going home from a signing with college team mate Julio Jones

Wow..like not really. There are many who work night shifts and drive at 1:00 am. And there are many coming back from events, not bar related,
who drive at 1:00 am. And let’s not forget, it is Summer-time. Many things to do late at night that does not involve drinking.

Don’t know what area you live in.

  24. stairwayto7 says: Jul 22, 2011 3:44 PM

What was he doing out at 1:00am Friday night? Was alcohol or drugs found? Oh wait he is a former SEC player so we know there is a cover-up!

  25. be4bama says: Jul 22, 2011 4:22 PM

Hate to disappoint all you BAMA haters but Ingram and Julio Jones were in Huntsville, AL helping to raise money for all the victims from the April 27th tornadoes that destroyed Tuscaloosa as well as and the northern third of our great state.

He was on his way to a hotel after leaving an NFL Meet and Greet, that didn’t end until close to midnight and stayed around to talk with fans and event organizers, while also helping to clean up. Plus, even without being at an event that ran late, it is perfectly normal for kids in their teens and twenties to be out late at night, without drugs and alcohol having to be involved..

  27. Soulman45 says: Jul 23, 2011 1:16 AM

He is smart not like some NFL players.
Not drinking ,no gun just him and his girl their is hope for this class of NFL players one of them is smart.
