I am a die-hard Bronco fan, but I’m also the father of three daughters. I find his actions and behavior disgusting and reprehensible.
Cox used his position to dazzle his way into hooking up with an impressionable young girl, and then proceeded to have his disgusting way with her after drugging her unconscious.
He is a waste of a draft pick and a total waste of humanity.

All three of these players are responsible. Vaughn and Thomas especially could have put a stop to this.

Thomas saw Cox carrying an unconscious girl into his bedroom and Cox encouraged Thomas to rape her. At what point does Thomas stand up and say this is wrong? Never, instead he gets up and leaves and lets the girl be raped. He did nothing to help her and that makes him equally responsible. Completely disgusting.

The Broncos better handle this right.

What he should try to do is get the case removed to Us District Court for the District of Columbia and make sure Judge Walton is presiding. Then, based on Walton’s actions in the Clemens trial, Cox probably won’t even need a defense attorney, as Walton will just step in for the defense and declare a mistrial first chance he gets.

Did you read the affidavit? This wasn’t a situation where they had sex and now she claims she didn’t consent. She passed out while kissing and being fondled by one guy, and she woke up pregnant from another guy.

Multiple witnesses confirm that she passed out, and Cox strongly denied having sex with her, before being forced to give DNA evidence that proved he’s the father of the baby that was in her stomach.

I know juries can reject otherwise clear DNA evidence (cough . . . O.J. . . . cough), but this doesn’t look like a case of someone trying to get rich.

Sounds suspiciuos to me. This female goes home with a guy, they start to mess around. Weeks later she realizes she pregnant and decides this is the time to accuse him of rape and then dates one of his team mates. He made some bad choices, really bad choices, but I think that they way things turned out were just how this lady had planned well before it ever started. I am in no way defending rape. I think that’s a crime that should get a severe sentence. This lady just sounds like a lady that didn’t “ask for it” but a lady that knew she could get him to do what she wanted in order for her to get what she wants, money. Im willing to bet that this doesn’t end simply with him going to jail. This will end with no jail time on his part but a nice sized check in her pocket.

A cautionary tale for the next rookie symposium…

Not that I condone his “alleged” behavior. If he drugged her or had sex with while she was passed out, he should get what he deserves.

But the girl is drinking with 3 football players…”allegedly” gets raped by one of the football players…then afterwards starts dating one of the football players football playing teammates. Doesn’t she know any accountants? Coffee baristas? Firemen?

If I was Cox’s lawyer, I’d strongly question her motives. I’ll bet for about $200K up front and $10K per month…her memory of the situation changes drastically.
