Dez Bryant faces court date for jewelry suit

dez

When Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant said in June that his jewelry lawsuits are “done,” he apparently was talking about only one of them.

The claim brought by Eleow Hunt against Bryant and his advisor, David Wells, is scheduled to go to court on January 9, 2012, according to Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News. Hunt claims that the men have failed to pay for more than $600,000 in jewelry, tickets, and loans dating back to Dez’s days at Oklahoma State.

The report doesn’t specify whether the case will go to trial on January 9, or whether a pre-trial hearing will be conducted that day.

Bryant has settled a claim from a New York jeweler for $246,000 in unpaid bills.
