Isnt it obvious? They had over two years to work this out before it came to a lockout. It was mutual

My big hope is 10 years from now we do not have to go through with this again!

Well now I know why the Colts may not sweat the FT for Manning. I think under the old rules it would have been 25 mill which would be 21% of the proposed 120 mill cap. I can’t imagine the new rules would do anything but decrease that 25 Mill. 21% of the cap for one player is unreal regardless of who it is.

This will never work as any real dispute will have to go to the courts. I can’t see either side saying to the opposing arbitrator “your right lets go home.” This is a pipe dream. The courtroom still represents finality. Like it or not.

I believe Judicial Oversight was the 2nd most important item on the owners agenda.

This has been in their craw for over 20 years.

The elimination of judicial oversight of the CBA is a *very* big deal to the NFL. It might not draw headline attention, but the elimination of judicial oversight was a high priority for the NFL in these negotiations.

I heard it reported that the minimum salary increases by 10% each and every one of the ten years of the agreement. Is that correct? If so that doubles the minimum that players receive by the end of the contract. Since more than half of the players get a minimum salary of one type or another it is no wonder that the owners wanted the players to vote on their proposal. There is no way it fails as every player in the end will vote his pocket book.

I am surprised they did not protect the supplemental draft and Free Agency after what happened this year.
