dcbassguy says:
Jul 25, 2011 4:54 PM
Manning will get $20 mil+ per season, until he turns 40.

P.S. to all those that “would rather have Brady”, when was the last time “Tome Terrific” won a Super bowl, or even better, a playoff game?
________________________________
TB has played poorly in his last two playoff games. 99% of Pats fans I know can readily admit this. Peytonophiles can't admit that the year the Colts won the SB their QB was mostly pathetic in the playoff run other than an epic half in Indy vs my team. Call me when TB wins any SB with a 3 td 7 INT playoff run and we'll talk.

I love how he comes out with some statement about it now. Brady spoke during the lockout though it was low key. Brees was at the forefront of the plaintiffs publicly. What happened Manning, Tracey Porter intercepted your comments?

Peyton Manning has great stats; By the time his career is over he will own most NFL records for a QB. (Except most TD's passes in a Season)

When he gets indcuted into the Hall of Fame; his presenter will talk about all those NFL records.

Tom Brady's presenter will talk about his Superbowl appearances, winning record (Regular season & Playoffs) Competativness, ect... but most importantly about his Leadership.

Thats what seperates Brady from Manning!

PS: Even hos brother ELI & Drent Dilfer won 1 Superbowl.

@wyobroncoboy says: Jul 25, 2011 4:29 PM

Did they address the issue of the Franchise tag in this CBA? I thought it was added in that the tag could only be used one time per player now!!!

Nope, wasn't changed. The biggest change was that teams can't use the Transition tag, and Franchise tag in the same year.

Brady gets 18 Million per, you should settle for 19 Million. (Not because you are better)

Actions speak louder then words Peyton. We will soon see how sincere you are about benefiting "All PLAYERS" & showing"UNIFIED STRENGTH" within your own team, by not taking to much of the salary cap pie.

I for one won't hold my breath, thats why you will be in a suite not on the field when the Superbowl comes to Indianapolis this season!

I think Manning misspoke, what he meant was:

“My objectives were three-fold when joining the group of named plaintiffs in the labor-related lawsuit. First, to show unified strength on behalf of benefiting all players; second, to see a resolution that recognizes the interests of players and management; third, to see if I could get extra benefits and money for myself. Unfortunately the fans found out about number three so that was disregarded by my camp. I believe the first two objectives have been achieved.”
