Jerky way to but the battle over the player. Haven’t we had enough references to “dog fighting” & enough jokes about it. It’s a serious problem & we should stop minimizing it with phrasing like this.

C Jeff Christy = Vikings

That’s almost half the starters!

By the way, Jerry has a very good record with free agents. He hasn’t brought many in but the ones he has brought in has had a lot of success in Dallas. (LAroi Glover, Deion Sanders, Leonard Davis, Columbo, etc. ..) Sure he has had a few busts in free agency but most of those were low risk high reward type players like Eddie George, Ryan Leaf and Pacman.
What Jerry has done stupidly is make a couple bad trades like the Galloway trade and Williams trade.

You really should do a little research before you go around making stupid comments. It only makes you loose credibility and makes you look like you don’t know what you are talking about.

Most of the players that Jerry had that helped him win three Super Bowls were drafted by him and Jimmy. Yes a few were leftover from the Landry era(Jeffcoat, Bates, Newton, Irvin) and there were a couple free agents (Novacek, Haley and later on Sanders) but most were drafted by Jerry and Jimmy.

It really annoys me when people say Jerry bought those three titles. He didn’t, most of those players were drafted by the Cowboys.

I’m not convinced Free is a serious Buc target. Would surprise me. Big $ to convert a LT to RT? Probably not.

The sad thing is, Doug Free is a good LT, but he’s no Larry Allen. Free is an above average young LT, he’ll be getting WAAAAAY overpaid. I hope he stays with the Cowboys, but in a way, I hope not. I’d hate to have that much cap space taken up for an above average LT.
