Getty ImagesTransactions are happening so fast, we’re just going to combine a few of the latest into one post.
1. Florio learned via a league source that Cardinals linebacker Gerald Hayes was told he was let go. That move is no surprise; we’re curious if Joey Porter will also be let go.
2. Cowboys guard Leonard Davis got the axe, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Davis wasn’t a terrible big money signing by the Cowboys a few years back, but his decline started to pick up and he wasn’t worth $6 million in 2011. Tackle Marc Colombo has not been cut yet; the team is working to lower his salary.
3. Giants guard Rich Seubert was informed he’ll be cut, according to Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger. The 32-year-old is coming off a major knee surgery, so it’s not a shock. The Giants were overdue to make their offensive line younger for a few years and that process has started.

I hope Rod Graves is already on the phone with Leonard Davis agent.
they should have put a penalty/flag item in Leonard Davis’s contract….wouldve lowered his salary to where he might have to actually pay to play…haha
The Davis cut will help them bring back Doug Free.
Not happy at all with the Seubert cut, but I understand why it had to be done. He’s the heart and soul of that offensive line and has been a staple there for about 10 years. I hope we bring him back, otherwise I wish him the best. He’ll always be a fan favorite.
cowboys need help up front or Romo going to his his other shoulder broken this year
yawn, lets get some exciting trades or something today.
The Seubert cut is tough to swallow. Yeah, he’s coming off major knee surgery, and he is getting older. But he was the most versatile guy on that line, and he was ALWAYS there when/where he was needed. Great guy, lousy move by the G-Men. They could find other “dead wood” on the roster.
Giants cut last years MVP and resident good guy
He must be hurt or the Giants are not as classy as I thought.
Davis to Oakland.
I see the Giants resigning Seubert at a short-term deal more favorable to the team. They are over the cap & cutting Seubert’s hefty salary helps. However, he could be very valuable at a one year deal worth a couple million.
They all suck. Next! 6
I’m not surprised at all about Seubert. The Giants have a LOT of money invested in those OLs. I wouldn’t be surprised to see another one go, say… McKenzie?
*ding* “bring out yer dead!”

leonard davis just false started after hearing the news
Now it’s time for the easiest part of any coaches job – the cuts. Allthough I wasn’t able to cut everyone I wanted to, I still cut a lot of you. Wendel your cut, Rudy is cut, Janey your gone. Steven, I liked your hustle, that’s why it was so hard to cut you.

Great job Rich Seubert, you were one of the few constants on the OL the giants could count on the last few years. Giant fans thank you!
That offensive line in Dallas is a freakin’ DISASTER.
Dallas O-line will suck once again this year.
CowBabies! haven’t figured it out yet.
Seubert to Chicago, on the cheap? They could use some help…even if it is short-term.
That offensive line in Dallas is a freakin’ DISASTER.

Gurode and Tyron Smith are in, if they can bring Free and Kosier back they’re in pretty good shape and will cut Marc Colombo. Montrae Holland’s an upgrade from the 2010 version of Leonard Davis.
