I would have liked for Mikell to stay. He’s a good player, a good dude, and would have provided much needed veteran leadership on defense.

But 4 years/$28 mil? I’ll drive him to the airport.

Eagles Fan Here – Q was a decent player, not spectacular. Can be a big liability in coverage, but will knock people out.

He was just an average player and probably won’t make much of an impact with the Rams.

good luck brother, great story from UDFA to S/T ace to primmary backup to starter to All Pro……that being said I hope Spags did his homework on Mikell because his play has been steadily and obviously declining for a couple seasons now. His range in coverage is slipping and hes been completely run over and embrassed several times each season when he used to be a asset in run support and could take on those bigger backs.

Ah well, hopefully Jaiqwan Jarrett is ready to step up and get this new safety duo going!

I don’t think the Eagles didn’t want him… they just didn’t want him for 4 years at his age. The Eagles defensive strategy is to pay DL (rare mass) and CB’s (rare speed) and treat the 5’11″- 6’3″ LBs and Safeties as dime a dozen interchangeable athletes.

That being said Q is good dude and good luck to him.

Mikell wasn’t quite the same player once Dawkin’s left, but I am still sad to see him go. We have some good young players at saftey to step in, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we picked up a veteran.

Mikell was a solid player but he is not a playmaker. Remeber when Ryan Torrain ran over him.
