APWe were leery last night when websites and Twitter pages of which we’d never heard and/or that we never frequent were churning out scores of reports on undrafted free agents. But when the Atlanta Journal-Constitution ran with the notion that West Virginia running back Noel Devine had agreed to terms with the Falcons, we assumed it was legit.
Ass. You. Me.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Devine has not agreed to terms with the Falcons, and that he remains a free agent.
The Falcons made little sense for Devine, given that he has a style similar to fifth-round rookie Jacquizz Rodgers.
Devine was expected to be a mid-round pick in 2010. He opted to come back for his senior season, and a foot injury suffered against LSU hurt his production — and killed his draft stock.

Makes sense for Philly
Read somewhere he’s going to Tampa with another player from WV.
Redskins? they need more competition at RB
I agree that Phi would make sense if that had not drafted Dion Lewis.
I’m surprised Devine hasn’t signed anywhere as of yet.
Devine has limited NFL potential, despite the Barry Sanders comparisons my fellow WVU fans spout. He’s really little, does not make solid moves upfield, is a horrible pass blocker, and has shown little in the return game. Love the guy, great WVU player, but I just don’t see it. Good luck to him….I hope he gets a shot.
really wish he would sign in the burgh.. need a small, fast , change of pace back
The AJC is a toilet log.
I’m hearing he will sign w/ the Eagles!
Devine is typical WVU trash. His future lies with Maury Povich so his babies’ mommas’ can establish paternity. That said, he was never as big a criminal as the Pac Man, Chris Henry, Quincy Wilson, or the rest of their grade cheating, rotten-toothed inbred hillbilly associates.
