Tarvaris Jackson is headed to the Seahawks.

While Seattle should be in the market for another quarterback to join Charlie Whitehurst and Jackson, that quarterback will not be Kevin Kolb. Jason La Canfora has confirmed what seemed clear enough: The Seahawks are out of the Kevin Kolb sweepstakes.

Don’t underestimate the impact this will make on the Eagles and Cardinals. Philadelphia just lost major leverage in their pursuit to deal Kolb. We haven’t heard of any other team willing to make a significant offer for Kolb.

The Cardinals have other options, primarily Kyle Orton and Matt Hasselbeck. It makes sense that the Eagles aren’t rushing into anything with Kolb, but they also don’t want to be too patient and get caught missing out on a deal.
