Takeo Spikes joins the Chargers, Clary re-signs

It was only a few days ago that Takeo Spikes was on ESPN talking about the lockout as the 49ers players representative.

It will turn out to be the final thing Spikes did for the organization.

Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Spikes has agreed to terms with the Chargers.  He fills a big need at inside linebacker; we’ll have to see if the team is still interested in bringing Kevin Burnett back.

Earlier this week, the annually underrated Trey Wingo of ESPN revealed on air that linebacker Takeo Spikes had a size 20 neck.  That took a lot of guts, because Spikes was sitting right next to him.  Wingo has not been seen since.

The Chargers were busy Tuesday, also agreeing to a four-year, $20 million contract with Jeromy Clary according to Acee.  The right tackle will make $8.5 million in 2011 pay.  That’s one way to get to the salary cap floor.

Seriously though, dude looks like he got neck implants. That thing is about as freakish as Baldinger’s right pinky.

Now, the Chargers won’t be in the playoffs.

Take a look at Takeo’s track record. Every team he has been on didn’t make the playoffs.

Good luck in San Diego Spikes. I do sense your frustration.. but all good. I’m just glad football is back! Hope things work out for you. Much love!!

Good fit for them. Solid player, good leader.
I root for San Diego as a secondary team because of where I live…
With that said, last year they had the #1 offense and defense and missed the playoffs.

We’ll find out what they’re made of, and if the Chiefs were the real deal or not.
The Raiders swept the division, and could improve despite losing the prized CB.
Tebow, like him or not is a winner and a leader. Even Skip Bayless had to admit that Denver played different at the end of last season with him at the helm (even if he is still raw).

I digress, but football is back so I don’t really care!

Spikes to San Diego you say? Well there’s one team that won’t be going to the playoffs.

Like a python, it appears Takeo has two chickens and a cat digesting in that neck.

Yep, looks like the Bolts have more dollars than cents (or would that be sense?)

I was disappointed when Takeo started spewing the anti-owner rhetoric last week… They snuck things in? What things Takeo?… I don’t know we haven’t seen it yet. The owners disrespected us… blah blah blah. Sounds pretty stupid now, huh Takeo?? I expected more out of a 49er but I was wrong and am disappointed in him. My whole attitude toward him changed after that. Thankfully I don’t have to think about him anymore.

Takeo, don’t let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.

    Go 9ers!
