Even though I know Finny doesn’t always think ahead when he says stuff in interviews and therefore sets himself up for grief, I don’t worry about him because I know the guy is never speaking maliciously like people outside of Nashville imagine him to be. He’s no punk in the locker room. He’s only an aggressive personality between the lines.

Prediction: he and Hasselbeck will hit it off just fine because Finny is a good teammate with a sense of humor and Hasselbeck seems to share those traits.

I agree with Courtland, that being said, what a$$ munch for saying it about a guy who is now a teammate. Weather its true or not stuff like this is what makes a loser.

You never hear this stuff from the Steelers Eagles Pats orPackers. Funny how those 4 teams are playoff teams every year.

I think thats all about coaching and franchise structure though. All those teams have a tremdous coach and even more than that they all have great front office staff that has been aroundd for years. I still think the shame of this whole offseason was the former titans coach choosing to leave a job that imo he was still doing a great job at.

Cortland is a dirty player but I love his intensity.. The league used to be full of players like him.. its just a different game now. That said, he should STFU about Hasselbeck, especially since he is light years better than Vince young could ever dream of being.

This article is a bit misleading. True Finnegan made those comments. But nowhere in the post does it mention that these comments were made two days ago BEFORE Hasselbeck was signed. That’s very pertinent information to the post that was completely left out.

The way this post was written would lead the vast majority of readers to believe he just made the comments today. “Cornerback Cortland Finnegan openly questioned the manner in which Hasselbeck fits with the franchise during an interview with 104.5 the Zone.” Would it had been so hard to put the words “on Monday” at the end of that sentence? Just for a little clarification?

As a fan who followed the Titans from Houston, I have to say that I’m 50/50 with Finnegan. Hasselback is a stop-gap at best, as I think they have downgraded at QB. On the other hand Jake Locker is not capable of playing the position in the NFL. He is a run first, scatter-arm guy who had his best year as a freshman and didn’t progress. Long term the Titans have blown it. Locker hit 54% of his passes in college and all the “experts” dwell on Cam and Terrell, who both hit over 60% and won something. Yet they repeat the lie about Terrell and Cam’s accuracy problems. Good bye Titans, it was nice while it lasted.

Hasselbeck averaged 6.9yds per attempt in his NFL career, while Locker averaged just 6.6yds per attempt in college. Oh yeh and Locker was barely a 55% passer. Carefull what you wish for there in Ten.

Your statement that Goodell doesn’t have to worry for 10 yrs is incorrect. Part of the CBA agreement was that when the players re-certify the union they will then discuss with Goodell which direction the player conduct policy/enforcement of the policy will go….all that being said, Finnegan is a penalty getting loudmouth.
