I like how the Eagles always get the better end of the deal.

For example, McNabb, Eagles got a second and third. McNabb then went for two 6th round pick (one conditional).

Now, if this trade goes down Eagles would be a force to be reckon with, with a couple of defensive additions (LB and DL). They would have the Packers eye on them for the second dangerous (I think most dangerous but whatever) in the NFC.

Eagles get this deal done…

yo! guys this is a quarterback driven league if you are trading for what you perceive as a franchise q.b. the key word being perceive, you will have to give up more than a cover corner. there is no connection with trading Kolb with trading A.J. or Mc Nabb. The Eagles hold the cards(no pun intended) unless you watched Kolb play all of those games your your evaluation doesn;t mean much, for example 6 of the 14 interceptions were 1/2 time hail mary’s. I would of hoped the eagles could have kept Kolb but as a free agent at the end of the year he walks. ( QUITE FRANKLY THE CARDINALS HAVE NO OTHER OPTION)

Man…a lot of trashing Kolb. I guess I get some of it. He’s not that experienced. His good games have been against mediocre teams. Then again, football people are really high on the guy and always have been. He’s shown that he can play well when he has time to prepare. He was going to be the Eagles’ new franchise QB until he got injured and Vick lit the world on fire. Most importantly, he’s one of the best QB options out there and shows real potential to be a great QB someday.

If I were a Cardinals fan, I’d be happy. Who do you have? Skelton? ROTFL. QB is your teams biggest need, and Kolb is a very good option. As an Eagles fan, I love this trade because we’re actually getting a good corner out of it, which we need desperately. That is, if it happens.

so many haters are steadfast in calling KK a bust…

Look, the guy has 7 starts under his belt, and has two NFC Offensive Player of the Week nods to show for it….

That is one heck of a start. Not sure any other QB in the game can boast that.

Why don’t we let it play out before speculating without knowledge….

Eagles traded McNabb for a pair of 2nd picks and now they are trading their backup QB Kolb for a 1st rounder and a high pick in the draft.

DRC is not as good as people give him credit for. The cards coaches and other players have said he doesn’t pay attention in meetings his rookie notes at training camp was all scribbles. He had 1 big year and everyone thinks he is the best. He gets burned because he doesn’t study the receiver he is going up against like he should. Ya he is better than most but if the cards believe in kolb and they think he is the qb for some 4 or 5 years which will also give them the best chance of keeping fitzgerald. Then get the damn deal done already.

If I were the eagles I would be drafting a QB every year it wont matter who the QB is, there will be someone, somewhere willing to double the investment in a couple of seasons.

OK, so the guy drafted first overall last year Sam Bradford started all 16 games last year and finished with a 76.5 QB rating and a 60% completion percentage, averaging 5.95 yards per attempt and everyone thinks he is on the right track.

Kevin Kolb on the other hand has started a mere 7 games and has a career QB rating of 73.2 and a 60.8% completion percentage, averaging 6.53 yards per attempt and everyone outside of Philly calls him a mediocre backup.

Get your heads out of your asses and give Kolb a chance before you trash him.

You guys on here that are complaining about Kolb getting such high praise from some of the media just sound like a bunch of haters. I get it. You dont think he’s good. But why be upset that someone else thinks he’s a good player? I bet you guys are the same type of guys that get jealous of other guys that get plenty of women. I think Kolb will be good in warm weather. Many of his stints in Philly were against good teams and also he was playing with backups against first string defenses. His arm strength is only adequate, but he will play in a division with domes and warmer weather. Fitzergerald is a better WR than DeSean Jackson, overall.

Are the Cards front office retarded? Why not give up less to get Orton who has proven he can win. Dont see what the big deal is in why Kolb is seen as a great QB.

Philly may be just as dumb for giving up their backup…no way Vick will last a full season in the NFC East

People talk about Kolb only starting 7 games and having 11tds and 14ins forget that he was 3 times named offensive player of the week in those starts. He was inconsistent but everybody is over so few starts.
