Kolb to Miami…..watch.

It would be ignorant to think that only Orton could be traded to Miami, but Kolb or Orton to Arizona.

Miami has the picks, the CB depth, and the LB (if that was needed) to land Kolb. By all comparison, both teams have a choice:

Take the qb that was replaced by Sexy Rexy
Or
Take the qb that was replaced by Vick’s career year…..

All that’s holding up the deal is the Eagles finding a trade for a veteran back up

Kolb and Orton are the biggest players left right this second, but VY is the next big whale yet to hit the waters. If Miami gets Orton, Zona isn’t out of leverage just yet.

The Texans gave up less for Schaub and even if they hadn’t it doesn’t justify the artificial elevation of Kolb to a bluechip trade target.

There is certainly something there. That it is worth a top-tier CB or first round draft pick to find out is where I have a tough time reconciling his trade value.

Pretty sure I heard something the other day saying he was likely to retire (or at least considering it). I can’t find anything to support that with a quick Google search, but I think I heard that at least as a rumor on a SiriusXM NFL Radio show, where the hosts are mostly well-connected, and not generally prone to wild speculation. That, combined with Kurt Warner’s comments a while back about Bulger not being all that driven to be a starter, makes me think nobody will make a move to bring him on as anything more than a mentor to a young gun.

I’ll grant you, he’s been inconsistent, as most inexperienced QBs are. But he’s had seven starts, and he’s been Offensive Player of the Week THREE times. That doesn’t happen by accident. There’s something there.

What had Matt Schaub ever done when Hou traded for him? Remember that Schaub had a much crappier version of Vick in front of him than Kolb did too.
Teams who trade for Kolb are trading for potential just like Hou did with Schaub.

What ever happened to all the hype and love for John Skelton and Max Hall? I know they were expected to need a few years to develop anyways, and you gotta do whatever you can to make your team better right now, but are they just completely out of the Cards’ plans now?

Wouldn’t It be entertaining to see to former teammates (McNabb/Kolb) compete for a trade to AZ after both losing their jobs M. Vick!!! I’m glad that puke-green decided to trade Kolb instead of Vick!!! Vick’s style will increase his chance of injury and we know he is prone!!! I guess Favre will step in for two or three games when
Vick is out!!! Vick will never be able to shake that Bull-eye he created for himself!!! The Walruses shiny new toy might be what finally gets his beached self pushed out to sea never to be heard from the NFL again if the Vick experiment crumbles and Kolb rises!!! We’ll see soon enough!!!

The most puzzling move of all these has to be Tarvaris Jackson to Seattle for starter’s money. The guy hasn’t done squat to prove he could handle the starter role during his entire career.

Maybe with better coaching he can get better, but why anyone thinks this guy is starting material is beyond me.

It’s still shocking to me how little recognition and respect Orton gets. All he’s done is grow from a game-manager role on a playoff team as a rookie to a ~60% completion rate, ~3500+ yds/year 20+ TDs, kind of QB. Seems like a guy most of the league should covet, yet he’s only being courted by a team that wants him to COMPETE for a job with Chad Henne? It’s absurd. He will win that job easily.
