The Panthers have quickly filled a few major holes on their defensive line.

A day after signing Charles Johnson to a massive contract, the team picked up former Chiefs defensive tackle Ron Edwards for a lesser price. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Edwards will get $8.25 million over three years.

Edwards was a solid performer in Kansas City, but the Chiefs apparently didn’t want to overpay to bring him back. They could use help at defensive tackle.
