The Redskins are in rebuilding mode. Still, I don't see the problem with bringing a veteran receiver into camp. I'm sure they didn't pay him much... I doubt he'll make the team.
Also, what's wrong with John Beck? What other options are there? It's obvious they didn't like anyone in the draft, so why should we be looking around the league for another washed up veteran QB who would need to learn a new system. It just seems obvious that they're making a low-risk gamble, considering the 2012 QB class seems to be rich, so if J. Beck is who you all think he is... the answer should be in the draft.
Bottom line, the 'skins are rebuilding and putting plenty of good pieces together. We've got to be happy with adding Kerrigan, Cofield, and Atogwe (on Defense) thus far. Also, as far as receiver, we obviously need to hope Hankerson was a steal.

I'm a 10-year Redskins season ticket holder, something I can freely admit. Anonymously.

The Redskins are embarrassing themselves (again) this free agency period. While Cofield was a good signing, Stallworth is a joke. Santana Moss as a #1 WR is a joke. I bet there is a least one parking lot attendant at FedEx Field that could make the team at WR.

Oh, and John Beck? He's a joke too. For all of you that guzzle Snyder's Kool-Aid, consider this: Ozzie Newsome thought so much of Beck that he traded him for DOUG DUTCH. Who? Exactly.

When we're talking personnel, I'd bet everything I own that Newsome is a far better talent evaluator than Shanahan/Snyder/Allen.

If Dan Snyder ever needed to write a resume (he won't), he would need to omit the bullet that states "consistently procured top notch receiving corps for a winning organization" from said resume.

Who were those 2 turds they drafted a few years back? Santana Moss only resigned because it was A) probably more money than he was worth (another forte of Snyder), and B) a place he knew he'd be the clear cut #1 without having to uproot his family.

Who needs sound offensive lineman or a solid defensive players that fit our scheme? Lets play a little pitch and catch with Beck and Stallworth. While we're at it, let's see what Tony Banks is up to. Sigh

When was the last time this guy had a relevant season? I mean what does he offer? Every single off season he's in the news and I'm sure the 4 letter as well as 4 networks will mention him as a part of the Skins offense yet he will do absolutely nothing just like he did absolutely nothing in Baltimore and just like he did absolutely nothing in Cleveland and just like he did absolutely nothing in New England. This guy gets the most hype I have ever seen from one semi decent season like 5 years ago.
