He was 14 of 15 during regular season making 13 straight…

Last year was his first post season where he missed two. One of those two was a 50+ yarder in the biggest game of his career.

Even if he makes it, do you think Rodgers would not of had drove right down the field again? Give the kicker a break.

No, not really. I just like bringing up the chip shot against the Saints and the fact that almost a billion people around the world knew he would miss that 52-yarder but Mike Tomlin didn’t. A guy in a hut in Myanmar was screaming at his TV when Suisham was trotted out for that field goal, “Tomlin, you idiot! This guy couldn’t make a 52-yarder in practice let alone in the Super Bowl!” (translated from Burmese).

Sadly, the SB wasn’t that close and it was because of Pack’s defense making plays, and their offense not making mistakes. One field goal would not have done it for the Steelers. Pack made the plays in the clutch. It was their night, so give ‘em props. I hated it! But I can’t say our kicker won it for them. They just outplayed us.

Hey ironhead, he missed two not one. And also he only played like what, 5 regular season games? Not a very broad array of chances from which to draw any statistical significance. And he’s not accurate from long-distance.

But hey, don’t listen to me, just keep your eye on the Steelers’ season this year. They’ll lose lots of games by 3 points or less.

This guy cost both the Steelers and the Vikings a Super Bowl. Last year he attempted a 52-yard field goal in the SB that I would have been closer on, and the year before with Washington he missed a chip shot that would have beaten New Orleans and given the Vikings home field advantage in the NFC championship game. That would have made all the difference. Good move, Steelers.
