All you JJ haters, really? Seriously? You can hate the guy ALL YOU WANT, but he was involved with getting this thing agreed to. Kraft was also very instrumental, but both had incentive to do so, along with all the other 30 owners of the NFL teams. Hate JJ, as that is your choice, but give credit where it is due.

…..and if i remember correctly, Kraft got more done for the cba-lockout while in Israel than any other owner sitting across from the nflpa……so amongst other things, he traveled overseas, did charity work, spent time with his dying wife, prepared for her death, buried her and then received some credit for “saving football” and you want Jerry to have the sole credit??? If Jerry was left to his own devices, we’d still be talking about the lockout and the Steeler weekly arrest….

Witten is about as stand-up as they get in this league. Anybody criticizing him needs to check themselves in a hurry. He never gets in trouble off the field, he is as tough as they come in football (his rookie year he broke his jaw, asked to have it wired shut, and was back on the field much more quickly than anyone expected), and he is not flashy but always seems to get the job done. Anybody who dislikes Witten is 1) jealous he isn’t on their team, or 2) is a hater of the Cowboys or Jerry Jones, and Witten is hated by association. You can’t fault Witten for speaking his mind, and as much as people hate Jerry Jones, he was helpful in getting this CBA completed on the part of the owners. Robert Kraft’s fan base has grown even more with the unfortunate and tough timing of the passing of his wife, and his instrumental involvement with also getting the CBA done. I am an even bigger fan of Kraft than I was before.

Upon further review, i agree with those you called me out on my post……it was a horrible post……

Although my intent was to shape Jerry’s ‘cooperativeness’ into Jerry’s selfishness, i have come to a different conclusion…..

Jerry and Robert Kraft definitely partnered in this CBA negotiations…..in what may have been seen as an ‘odd couple’, the two owners certainly played off each other in these talks and probably learned a trick or two from each other, and both probably played a significant role in solving the lockout……

So to correctly refrain, Jerry and Robert together saved football…..

I just want to thank JJ for the $150 million the League is giving the Niners to build the new stadium they are building in Santa Clara ! (I am sure some of his 10% tax is helping pay for it !).

Actually that comes from the NFL’s “G3″ stadium-subsidy fund. Jones took advantage of the fund when he built Cowboys Stadium. Have at it, that’s what it’s there for! If they ever turn a shovel of dirt over on a new 49ers stadium anyway.

Kave Krew, wow, the ignorance surrounding the stadium is really getting out of control. Do you really believe Jerry Jones paid for the entire Cowboy’s new stadium? OK, here we go – take notes, and you just might learn something. The stadium is owned by the city of Arlington. The taxpayers voted on it. Bonds were designated. The NFL gave roughly 150 million to also help build it. Jerry Jones is not the actual owner, but he did pay some out of pocket costs for the stadium. What do you really care what Jerry does anyway? The lockout is over, and I have no doubt that JJ was instrumental in working to get it agreed to – he stood to lose a lot of money. What gets me is the Meadowlands stadium cost over 500 million dollars more to build, it doesn’t even have a roof on it, but you never hear any criticisms there. Too many Jerry Jones haters. Sad, really. Having said that, that stadium is freaking crazy. I was there last summer, and it is about as nice as it gets.
