Yes looks like a one-sided trade but if/when Mike Vick gets hurt maybe the trade won’t look so great. If….if Kolb plays well and is a quality starter the trade is absolutely worth it for the Cardinals. Without a decent QB the Cards had no chance at retaining Larry FITZ. I loved DRC but he had a down year last season. When he is on he is a playmaker. When he is off he is terrible. Wait until the season plays out people might have a different opinion on the trade.

here is the bottom line. KOLB for a second round pick would have been plenty. Im a life long Eagles fan and basically The Eagles got a first and second round pick for Kolb. Plus DRC is proven first round pick. The Birds burned em.

From what I have gathered, this is going to happen every couple of seasons. There will be a 2nd string QB that looks like he could be a steady starter. It happened to Schaub and Cassel.

They were traded for, the new team gave them a contract that would be comparable to a franchise QB. Those QBs where able to showcase what they had during a long injuries to number 1 starters, unlike Kolb.

Unfortunetly, I don’t see much of either the Chiefs or Texans, I do know Cassel helped his team to the playoffs, and that the Texan haven’t been able to make them. I don’t know which outcome the Cards will come up with, but if the Eagles REALLY thought that Kolb was a franchise QB woudln’t they have hung on to him with an aging Vick.
